What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Home Alone.

Today is the day; Minho has to go back to work for the first time since Minhee was born. Jisung is admittedly nervous as hell. Their baby is only three weeks old and she's started cluster feeding too, so she's awake to feed every hour instead of her usual 2-3 hour intervals and Jisung is getting no sleep even with Minho's help. They'd just gotten her situated again after she woke up at 4AM, apparently ravenous and angry about it. By the time she was back to sleep, Minho's alarm was going off at 5AM to alert him to wake up for work.

Jisung was barely even half-asleep when the alarm went off and Minho was slowly dragging himself out of bed. The omega doesn't say anything even though he's awake and watching Minho move through the barely lit bedroom. He feels anxious watching Minho change into his uniform and it feels a little too real that he'd be on his own today.

"Jagi," Jisung calls quietly in the dark and the alpha turns around at the call. "You're really leaving?" The omega asks with an upset pout and Minho sighs, before coming to lean down to Jisung's level in the bed.

"Yeah I am, but I'm going to try to get home around 3PM. My sous and the manager both know that I have to be home for you guys, they won't keep me over. I'm sure of it." The alpha explains to Jisung in a whisper to not wake their daughter. He places his hand on the back of the younger's neck to pull him closer and places a kiss on his forehead.

"Tell him that you have a newborn at home that won't let me sleep, and will only do so when you specifically are holding her. He'll understand" Jisung speaks in a pout as he sits up in the bed.

"I'll tell him, baby... but you still need to go back to sleep, so you can atleast get a nap in before she wakes up again." Minho replies and stands up straight again to resume getting dressed. Jisung doesn't lay back in the bed though, and instead just watches the alpha get dressed. He feels too anxious to sleep, even though he knows he really should, since Minhee would probably wake up again in the next hour. He'd have to deal with her without any sleep otherwise.

When Minho leaves the room for the bathroom, Jisung finds himself following after him. He's kind of like a lost puppy, just following his owner around because he has no direction of his own. The older atleast allows him to watch him wash his face and brush his teeth without any argument. Then he turns the light out in the bathroom to leave and face Jisung standing in front of him at the doorway looking a bit too pouty and cute for the alpha to handle.

"Baby, go back to bed. I'm just going to work, and I'll be back before you know it, okay?" Minho reassures the younger, but the quiver of Jisung's bottom lip is sign enough that the younger still wasn't happy. "Oh no, please? Please don't cry" the alpha pleads, but Jisung couldn't stop the tears no matter how hard he tried.

"I don't want you to leave, hyung. I don't know how to take care of her and I'm scared." Jisung cries pitifully and the alpha sighs. Minho pulls him into a hug and kisses his wet cheeks affectionately.

"You do know how to take care of her, Sung. You've been doing it the past three weeks and really well, might I add. You're just anxious because you haven't had to do it alone yet, but it's just a few hours and then I'll be back to help. You are more capable than you think though, baby. You both will be just fine, okay?" Minho comforts the omega, his words are slightly muffled because his lips are gently rested against the younger's neck. He places a soft kiss to the omega's scent gland before rubbing his nose, and then his cheek, into the skin. A comforting wave of warm cinnamon and nutty butter washes over Jisung and it does help to calm him down a little.

"Can you please just keep your phone on you atleast? I know you get busy, but don't leave it in your locker again please" the omega attempts to relent his assault of tears with a tired sigh and he pulls away from Minho to look at him sternly.
