What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Rut.

CW!! This entire chapter is essentially all smut, so if you're underage or just don't like smut, you can skip this chapter! It's just good ole' vanilla love-makin', but Minho's in rut and feeling very possessive so he says some things pertaining to that. There is also a lot of descriptions of knotting, so I'd just skip this part and the next if you really hate that. I can't think of any other warning this part would call for. Minho's pre-rut has lasted almost five days at this point. Jisung's watched the alpha become progressively more ill-tempered over the three days he's been staying at the older's place. Minho's less talkative and more grouchy. He loses his patience rather quickly with most tasks and gets upset over minor inconveniences. He'd actually cursed angrily at his kitchen counter earlier, when he accidentally bumped his hip against it. It is very obvious that he is rapidly nearing his rut.

Watching it happen is quite interesting to Jisung. He's only experienced heats, obviously, and has only really seen the beginnings of pre-rut and then active rut only in porn. When Jisung's in pre-heat most of his symptoms manifest physically, like, abdominal cramping, chills, and over-active bowels. That's not to say he doesn't also experience emotional changes too. Things that wouldn't usually make him cry, do, and he finds himself being easily upset by minor inconveniences too. Though his upset and Minho's upset, seem different.

Another similarity between their cycles is how touchy Minho has become. Jisung wants to be touched more when he's approaching his heat too, and he likes to cuddle and rest when he isn't too uncomfortable from the cramps or running to the toilet. Minho seems to be the same. If the alpha isn't asking Jisung to play im his hair or scratch his back, he's rubbing Jisung's belly or full on scenting him. He's just attached to the omega's hip one way or another. Jisung doesn't hate it, but it does feel a bit suffocating at times when he's trying to get work done, especially with how strong Minho's scent is. It went from a pleasant subtly sweet nutty smell to becoming so strong, it sits heavily in the air and occasionally causes Jisung to become lightheaded with the intensity of it.

"Sung," Minho calls for the omega. Jisung managed to sneak away while Minho was napping to get some work done in the living room. He figured Minho would wake up soon and come looking for him anyways. He's honestly surprised that the older didn't wake up as soon as he felt him move. He's been very vigilant in keeping the omega in his line of sight.

"Yes, hyung?" Jisung turns to see the alpha standing at the entrance of the living room. His laptop is in his lap and he has one of his earphones out so that he could hear when Minho woke up.

"Come get back in the bed with me" Minho says and his tone doesn't hold much to make Jisung think he was requesting this of him, but that he was definitely instructing him to do so.

"I can't right now. I have to finish this, but I'll come back in a little. Give me... uh, an hour? An hour and a half?" Jisung ignores the demand in Minho's tone anyways, and turns back to what he was working on.

"Jisung-ah, please?" The way the older sounds undeniably pleading makes the younger quickly break his attention away from his laptop to look at the older. He actually looks at him this time and not just glances, and he can see the glazed over look in the alpha's eyes and the way sweat beads on his skin.

"O-okay, I'm coming now..." Jisung saves his work on his laptop and sits it down on the coffee table. He slowly lifts himself up to meet Minho where he is. The alpha closes the distance rather quickly when the younger starts towards him. He wraps his arms around Jisung's waist and buries his face into the omega's scent gland on his neck. "Did your rut start?" Jisung asks breathlessly when Minho licks at the source of Jisung's scent.
