What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Minsung

Minhee is eight weeks old and Changbin's birthday has quickly approached, meaning it's August already. Jisung had his daughter in the beginning of June and in those two months, she has completely integrated herself into every aspect of his life. Her alpha father has weaseled his way in too, but Jisung can't even begin on how stressful it is being with Minho, but also not being *with* Minho. Either way, he hasn't left their apartment for anything more than a short walk with Minhee or to go to either his own postpartum doctor's appointment, or Minhee's pediatric appointments. Sometimes Minho will ask him to go grocery shopping with him too, but Jisung prefers to stay home with their baby because he doesn't often want to go through the struggle of taking a newborn out in public.

With Changbin's birthday approaching, the alpha requested that Jisung and Minho come to his party the weekend prior to it. A party doesn't really sound like Jisung's vibe currently because he can't bring his baby, and even if he could, he doesn't feel comfortable having her around so many people. She isn't due for her first round of vaccines until next week, so it's truthfully not even an option to him.

Nonetheless, he told Changbin that he and Minho would stop by, minus their baby, of course. The younger alpha seemed excited about his party and kept saying he wanted to "get the pack back together". The notion of a pack is a little outdated, as no one in a developed country felt the need to be in- or create one. Times have changed a lot, and Jisung can't even remember ever meeting someone in a pack in his lifetime, but it just goes to show how much Changbin was looking forward to seeing everyone. Jisung obviously couldn't say no. That's why he's currently with Minho, trying to leave their daughter with Minho's parents.

The word "trying" is important, because Minho is making the process quite difficult. Jisung was nervous too; he's never left his baby with anyone up until this point. He wakes up with her and goes to sleep with her, and he's there for every aspect of her day and night. Tonight though, they decided to let her grandparents keep her for the time they'll be away at Changbin's. He could only agree to them keeping her for a few hours though, as he was too anxious for her to stay overnight, though he did pump and pack extra milk and diapers on the off chance that she has to stay a little longer than planned.

"You can't expose her to any light past 5PM, Eomma. If you do, she'll fall asleep late and it'll throw off her whole schedule, seriously. This is really important." Minho relentlessly worries and explains to his mother. The woman is calmly unbuckling Minhee from her carrier with a smile, all the while her son is having a meltdown.

"My little flower, tell Appa that I've cared for more babies than he's seen in his lifetime" the beta woman coos at the pup as she lifts her to reach her eye-level.

"Eomma, I know you're good with babies, but this is my baby, and I just want to make sure-" Minho continues to worry before his mom stops him.

"You two won't even let me keep her for the whole night, so I'm sure that I can't wreak too much havoc in a few hours." She interrupts him and Minho sighs frustratedly.

"No, I know. I know, I'm just saying..." Jisung tunes out of the conversation as he looks at Minhee in her grandma's arms. He smiles at her fondly as she looks alertly at the beta woman holding her.

"Minho-ya, just relax. Eomma and I have everything under control. We kept you alive long enough for you to make one of your own, right?" Jisung's attention is caught again by the conversation when Minho's father interjects and comes to his mate's side. The omega watches Minho concede with a deep sigh and a nod of his head.

"Yeah, you're right... but I just want to add one more thing and then I'm done. She doesn't have to drink the entire 120mL from the bottle. She'll get gassy and spit-up if you let her suck on it for too long. She's not used to the fast flow from the bottle yet, and doesn't know when to stop. Try to aim for 90mL and then burp her before you let her have anymore. Right, Sung?" Minho turns to the omega for back-up and Jisung looks at the alpha before sighing.
