"Okay! Ready to go!" said Gon, all six of them watching the countdown. "One more minute." noted Killua, smiling. (Y/N) was excited, saying. "I can't wait!"

And then, as soon as the countdown hit zero, a buzzer sound was heard, followed by the door opening itself. "Let's go!" called (Y/N) out, starting to dash ahead with Gon. Noticing that the white haired boy wasn't following them, she turned to face him, saying: "Come on, Killua! We have no time to lose!"

He simply shrugged, to which (Y/N) sighed. She took his hand into hers, dragging him with her as she went to catch up with Gon. "W-Wait! Hey, (Y/N)!" he called out, almost tripping in the process, only causing her to laugh.

A bit later, the six of them found themselves in an identical arena as before. Leorio, who was panting, said: "30 minutes of running, just to end up where we started." Killua simply stated: "We should have taken those stairs down." "Shut up! We all agreed on this route!"

Well, the continuation of their way wasn't any easier. They almost fell off into the abyss, had to ride mine carts, and were even chased by a huge boulder. "We only have an hour left..." trailed Leorio off, trying to catch his breath. (Y/N) looked over at him, asking: "Do I have to carry you?" "No!"

They continued, with Leorio and Tonpa constantly fighting. Reaching two doors with a statue hung in the middle, Killua read the sign. "This will be the last decision made by majority rule. Are you ready? Choose O or X. That's it."

Thinking about it for a little, Leorio asked back: "Am I ready? You bet." The screen showed O5 and X1. A small light on the forehead of the statue was suddenly glowing slightly. Lippo spoke up.

"Please select a path. There are two choices. One path allows six to pass, but is long and difficult. The other path allows only three, but is short and easy. Incidentally, the long and difficult path requires a minimum of 45 hours. The short and easy path leads to the goal in approximately three minutes."

The group of six listened intently. "Press O for the long and difficult path, and X for the short and easy path. If X is selected, three people must be secured to the wall with handcuffs, before the door will open. The three chained applicants will be unable to move until the time limit expires."

Looking around them, (Y/N)'s eyes suddenly lit up. "The examiners were prepared. I think they have every weapon under the sun here." "Uh-huh! Just look at these blades! So sharp..." called (Y/N) out, closely examining the weapons.

"Three out of six... So we're supposed to fight, to decide the three who pass?" asked Kurapika, deep in thought. Leorio turned to face his friends, saying: "Let me make this clear. I'm going to press X. But I have no intention of staying behind. I'll do whatever it takes to be one of the three..."

"You're shameless. Had you not wasted 50 hours, we could have taken the long path. Shouldn't you take responsibility and stay behind?" said Tonpa. "What?!" "I'm sure everyone else agrees. Have I said anything inaccurate?"

"Hold on." said Gon, gaining everyone's attention. He had a look of determination on his face as he said: "I'm going to press O. We made it all the way here together. I want us all to pass together. Even if it's a big risk, I want to give it a shot!"

"Come on... You can't really call this a risk. We have less than an hour. Gon, there's only one choice if you want to pass this exam." noted Killua, looking at the raven haired boy, completely serious.

"There you have it." said Leorio, agreeing with Killua. The white haired boy said: "Now we have to decide how to choose which three pass." "Isn't it obvious?" asked (Y/N), causing them to look over at her.

She stood by a dagger displayed on the wall, casually saying: "If we end up fighting, the winners will be Killua and me. And I want to pass the exam with Gon, too. So that makes three." "I agree." said Killua simply, nodding once.

Tonpa began to move back, grabbing an axe as no one was watching him. He then went to attack Leorio with it, smashing parts of the ground in the process. "Tonpa, that's playing dirty!" called Leorio out, backing off.

The older man simply grinned, picking the axe up from the ground. He said: "In a fight, there's no such thing as dirty!" Leorio went to grab a weapon himself, starting to fight Tonpa off.

"Stop this, you two!" called Kurapika out, ready to use his own weapons in order to stop them. Gon said: "Come on... Let's do it together." Rolling her eyes, (Y/N) said: "Guess we have no choice." "Our only option is to fight." said Killua, sharing a knowing glance with her.

"(Y/N), applicant #146, is the 20th to pass. Killua, applicant #99, is the 21st to pass. Gon, applicant #405, is the 22nd to pass. Total time, 71 hours and 59 minutes." I smiled as soon as I heard the voice say our names.

"I didn't expect a slide for the short and easy path." noted Killua, making me chuckle. I said: "I'd go again, but we have no time. It was fun!" Gon nodded, then said: "That was really close." "A bit too close for my liking." said Kurapika, approaching us.

"Kurapika, applicant #404, is the 23rd to pass." said Lippo. "This guy..." trailed Leorio off, clearly fed up with Tonpa, who was pushing him to the side, trying to prevent him from passing the exam.

"Leorio, applicant #403, is the 24th to pass. Tonpa, applicant #16, is the 25th to pass. Total time, 71 hours and 59 minutes." I grinned at them, saying: "Took you long enough." Leorio glared at me, saying: "You have no limit to your energy. You single-handily made half of the path for us to cross over to the easy and quick side, after all."

Shrugging my shoulders, I said: "That's nothing special." "For a 12 year old, it is." he noted, but I didn't respond any further. Turning to face Gon, I said: "Good thinking, Gon! Thanks to you, I didn't have to fight Kurapika and Leorio! I would have fought Tonpa, though."

"Hey!" he called out, looking at me with disbelief clearly on his face. I stuck my tongue out at him, asking: "Wanna throw hands?" He quickly turned away, knowing that he didn't stand even a slight chance.

Brushing over this, Leorio said: "Gon, I can't believe you actually came up with that idea on the spot." Gon smiled brightly, saying: "I realized that we could break the walls, using the weapons. But it took over 50 minutes."

Chuckling I said: "Yeah, sorry about that. I was halfway done when Killua refused to let me continue." Killua grabbed my right wrist, saying: "Just look at your hands! They're full of blisters. If you did it all on your own, then you for sure wouldn't be able to use your hands for the next Phase, idiot."

"I could handle it." I said, still smiling. He let go of me as he turned to look away, muttering: "You're an absolute airhead..." My smile widened as soon as I heard a loud buzzer, followed by Lippo.

"The Third Phase of the Exam is over. 25 applicants have passed. One has died." With that, a door was opened, and I put each arm over Killua's and Gon's shoulders. I began to push them forwards, saying: "Come on, let's continue the exam!" "You should rest first!" demanded Killua while Gon simply laughed.
