↜3rd Person Pov↝

Gon and (Y/N) followed after Illumi, calling out towards him. Illumi turned, surprised to see them. Pointing at him as if she was challenging him, (Y/N) demanded: "Tell us where Killua is." "Are you really going to take him away? I think it's a bad idea. Especially for you, (Y/N)." noted Illumi, not impressed by them.

"Shut it! I want Killua back, and that's final!" she declared, with Gon saying: "I don't care what you think! Killua is our friend. We're taking him with us." Illumi's eyes stayed on (Y/N) for a little. He contemplated on whether or not he should answer truthfully.

As far as he could tell, Killua was crushing on her. He was sure that he would go with them if she showed up. He was sure that he would fight their whole family for her. And that thought annoyed him, in a sense.

He had spend so much time to raise and train Killua, and he would probably throw it all away for a mere girl that was just as unhinged as he was. Killua had even said 'please' when Illumi was threatening her life. He seriously valued her.

He had to get rid of her.

Or better yet, he could use her to show Killua what his place was. If she was going to their home, then she would get killed by one of his family members for sure. They had accepted the job, after all.

That would teach Killua the lesson he needed. It would show him that if he ever let anyone in again, if he ever cared for someone again, it would only lead to their demise. She would've survived if she hadn't gone to 'save' him, after all.

"Fine. I doubt you'll be able to make it there anyway. Killua went home." said Illumi, knowing that his little plan would succeed. Killua would finally give up and crumble. He would become an assassin without any attachments.

And just like that, she took the bait. "Where?" she asked, to which he answered: "Kukuroo mountain. Our family lives at the very top." "Got it. Thanks." said Gon, starting to walk away. (Y/N) remained in her place for a few seconds.

"I swear, if you did anything to Killua, I'll make sure you regret it." she said, her voice low and threatening, yet filled with certainty. Illumi was caught off guard by the look in her eyes. They were practically glowing with determination and seriousness.

Her bloodlust was incredible in that moment, like she had never done anything other than kill. And that was the case. She fought. She killed. She used weapons. She took life after life. Day after day.

A chill ran down his spine, confusing him greatly. Why was he scared of a mere girl? A girl he was stronger than, none the less? He could kill her within the blink of an eye. Right? Sure, she had stopped him before and broke two of his fingers, but he wasn't 100% serious then. He could kill her. While he was convinced of that, a really, really small part of him told him otherwise.

"Kukuroo mountain? Never heard of it before. Kurapika, do you know where it is?" asked Leorio, adressing Kurapika, who was looking at the ground. I lightly tapped his shoulder, asking: "You okay?"

He snapped out of it, saying: "Oh, what is it?" "The mountain! He said something about Kukuroo mountain. Do you know where it might be?" asked Leorio once more. This time, Kurapika answered. "No, I don't... We can look it up online."

"Yo!" called someone out, causing all of us to turn. "Oh, Hanzo!" called Gon, smiling as he waved with his healthy arm. Gon told me he wasn't mad at Hanzo, so I smiled as well, saying: "Sorry for your arm, by the way. I was sort of caught in the moment."

He shook his head, saying: "It's fine. It'll be back to normal in two months or so." Gon looked at me, then asked: "Did you break his arm?" I pointed at myself, proudly saying: "Of course! It was payback for what he did to you!"

"You're a monster indeed. But you're a good kid, so I'm not mad at you anymore." said Hanzo, causing me to grin. Kurapika ruffled a hand through my hair, saying: "You really are a little monster, aren't you?" "I guess." I said, still smiling as we laughed.

I watched intently as Kurapika typed something on the computer. "There it is." he said, opening the right link. I looked at the picture of the mountain, impressed by it. I've never seen a mountain like that before. I've never seen anything aside from the Colosseum and the things during the Exam.

"Kukuroo mountain. A 3'722 meter-high mountain, in the Dentora region of the Republic of Padokea." read Kurapika out, with Leorio repeating: "The Republic of Padokea? Never heard of it. Where is it?"

"My dad comes from there." I said, remembering how I once asked my parents where they were from. "Really?" asked Gon, to which I nodded, saying: "He told me. But nothing aside from that. I didn't even know about Kukuroo mountain."

"This is the Republic of Padokea." said Kurapika, showing us a map on the computer. "It should be fine. It appears to be a stable country. It allows ordinary tourists." "Great! Let's go!" I said, wanting to see Killua again.

Kurapika read more information, then said: "By airship, it will take three days to reach... When do we leave?" "Right now!" said Gon and me at the same time, causing Leorio and Kurapika to smile at us. "Yeah, no objection from me!" said Leorio. Kurapika typed some more, saying: "Understood. Then, I'll order tickets."

While he did so, I stared at the screen, pointing at a specific word that I think I've seen before. "What does this say?" I asked, tilting my head a little. "Can't you read it yourself?" asked Leorio, to which I shook my head.

"I can't read." I admitted, causing them all to look at each other. "You can't?" asked Gon back, to which I said: "No. I never had to learn it." Kurapika looked at me for a moment, then answered my question from before.

"It says 'child'." I thought about it for a moment, then said: "That word was written on posters that mom made for the Colosseum. She said it was advertisement." "She was advertising the Colosseum with... you?" asked Kurapika, to which I shrugged, saying: "I don't know. I said I can't read."
