"Can we leave now?" I asked, my eyes meeting his blue ones as he stepped out of his fathers' office. Killua smiled, answering: "We can." I grinned, taking his hand into mine as we began to walk.

"Wait, is this even the right direction?" I asked, looking over at him. Killua chuckled, replying: "Yeah. Just down this hallway, then to the left." I simply nodded, showing that I got what he told me.

"Kil." said a female voice, a woman suddenly appearing before us. I looked up at the woman I had met three weeks prior, recognizing her immediately. "It's too late. Those three left. Return to your cell." said his mother.

Who does she think they are? Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio would never leave! Not when they're this close to us! Killua said: "No way. We're leaving." His mother turned her head slightly, now looking at me.

"Why, you...! It's your fault, you little-!" she yelled, reaching her hand out towards me, very clearly wanting to harm me. Before I could react in any way, Killua pulled me behind him, staring at his mother.

She paused, taken back by his fierce glare. In a threatening tone, he said: "Out of our way." His mother stepped to the side, creating enough room for us to pass through. I held tightly onto Killua's hand as we continued our way out.

"Oh, Kil... Your eyes are so cold now... Just how far would you go... for her?" asked his mother quietly, barely above a whisper. But I still managed to hear her. I kept my eyes in front of us, knowing that we would be out of this mansion soon.

Standing in front of the butler's office, Gotoh, the head-butler, said: "Killua-sama, we've been waiting for you." "Gotoh, where's Gon now? You do know, right?" asked Killua, happy that they would be reunited soon.

"Canary is bringing Gon here, along with his two friends." answered Gotoh. "Really?" "They should arrive shortly, so please wait inside." "Okay." he said, stepping inside the building with (Y/N).

Turning to face the butler, Killua said: "Gotoh. Let me know the second Gon gets here." "Yes, sir. I shall notify you right away." Looking at his friend, Killua said: "And get me a first-aid kit for (Y/N)." "I don't need that." said (Y/N), looking around the building they were in. "You do." was all that Killua said, following another butler into the next room.

The two of them sat down, with the blonde butler leaving the room again. He came back just a few seconds later, carrying the requested first-aid kit. Killua took it from him, thanking him before opening the box. "You can leave now." he added.

(Y/N) watched as the butler left, then looked back over at her white haired friend. "I really don't need that. My wounds always healed on their own." she said, her eyes meeting his for a moment. He released a quiet sigh, saying: "If I can help you out, then I will."

"You don't have to." "I do. You came all the way here for me. Let me at least try to repay the favor." Hearing that, (Y/N) smiled a little, saying: "I'm sure you would've done the same. But if it makes you feel better, then go ahead."

He smiled to himself, glad to have convinced her to let him help. He grabbed a large band-aid, saying: "Come closer." "Okay." she replied, moving her face closer to his, tilting her head a little so that he could see her cut perfectly.

His heartbeat increased as he gently brushed her hair out of the way, tucking it behind her ear. He carefully put the band-aid over her cut, muttering: "There." "Thank you, Killua." she replied, smiling.

He cupped her face with his hands, simply staring into her eyes as she returned his gaze. "Killua, I..." she started, her cheeks turning red beneath his hands for a reason she didn't know. She also didn't know why her heart was beating like crazy.

All of these feelings were so new to her. So strange, so unlike her, and yet just what she wanted. Despite not knowing what it was that she was feeling, or why she was feeling like this in the first place, she knew one thing. It was as clear as day to her. And she wanted him to know.

"I like you, Killua. Like, a lot. A lot lot." she admitted, being able to watch as his pale face turned red within seconds. He wanted to look away, he wanted to hide his face, but he found himself unable to do so. Unable to look away from her.

He was more than just happy to hear her say those words. But knowing her, he had to make sure. "Do you like Gon as well?" he asked, wanting to make sure he was understanding her correctly. It would be pretty embarrassing otherwise.

"Of course I do. But I like you in a different way. Is it that 'different kind of liking' that Leorio mentioned before?" she asked him, looking like she just realized something very important. At that, Killua had to laugh.

She pouted, saying: "Don't laugh at me." He grinned as he leaned closer once more. He was suddenly filled with confidence. Her statement confirmed his suspicions, and he couldn't stop smiling about it.

And yet, he couldn't bring himself to say it out loud. Despite how much he wanted to tell her, he couldn't utter a single word. But he had to let her know that he felt the same. That he liked her in that 'different way', as well.

While he was thinking about what to say, (Y/N) leaned closer, closing the gap between them. Killua's eyes shot wide open as he froze in place, trying to register what was happening. And as soon as he did, he melted into the kiss, closing his eyes as he leaned more into her.

She smiled against his lips, liking how well they fit against hers. It felt natural, yet so very new. They pulled away from each other, with (Y/N) still smiling. Killua had a flustered expression on his face as her smile widened.

"Wh-Where did that come from...?" he asked her, finally letting go of her face. She answered: "I remember seeing my parents kiss. They said that's what people do that like each other."

The innocent tone in her voice caused his heartbeat to quicken even more. He admired how she was so open and accepting to anything new. That was yet another thing he liked about her. In the end, he didn't even get to tell her how he felt. He didn't need to. She knew that he reciprocated her feelings without having to ask him.
