Sitting inside an airship, the trio looked out of the window, seeing a tall tower. "Woah. Look, it's huge!" said Gon, staring at the tower in awe. (Y/N) pressed her hands against the window, asking: "Is that Heavens Arena?"
"Yep. 251 stories. 991 meters tall. The world's fourth tallest building." explained Killua shortly, smiling at his impressed friends. Gon said: "So this is where we'll be training..." "I can't wait!" said the girl with them, practically bouncing in her seat.
Once they had landed, Killua said: "I used up all my money on the trip fare. We'll have to make more here." (Y/N) smiled lightly, saying: "Thank you for paying for my ticket, Killua." He returned her smile, saying: "It's fine. You would've done the same, right?" "You bet!"
"Anyways, after we disembark, we'll start from zero." said Killua, with Gon saying: "Alright, got it!" "Let's go!" "Yeah!" With that, the three of them left the train, and went towards Heavens Arena.
"This is boring~ Why is the line so long?" asked (Y/N), standing behind Killua. She held onto his shoulders, shaking him gently. "Everyone's going to Heavens Arena?" asked Gon, gaining their attention.
Killua answered: "There aren't any conditions here, like there were for the Hunter Exam. You just have to defeat your opponent." "Oh..." trailed Gon off, showing that he understood. "The higher you go, the more prize money you earn. This is as good as it gets for those looking to make a living with their fists."
"Well, it's either this or the Colosseum. It seems pretty similar. In the Colosseum, you can fight in different strength classes. And once you defeat enough opponents, you become basically a regular. As long as you survive, that is." said (Y/N), looking around them, inspecting the other people waiting in line.
Gon asked: "How much money did you make in the Colosseum?" Shrugging her shoulders, (Y/N) answered: "I don't know. My parents always took everything. But you get a set amount from the owner- my parents- and all the bets the people placed on you." "Sounds like much." "Right?"

"Welcome to Heavens Arena. Please fill out this form." said the lady at the desk, handing us some papers. I looked at mine, trying to decipher the words on it. "Here, I'll help you." said Killua after a short while, having already filled his form out.
I smiled, scratching the back of my head as I said: "Thank you, Killua. I should probably learn how to read and write soon, huh?" "Probably." noted Killua, a small smile on his face as he began to ask me the questions on the paper.
The lady typed everything into the computer, then said: "Killua Zoldyck, you are #2054. Gon Freecss, you are #2055. (Y/N) (L/N), you are #2056. They'll call your number on the first floor of the arena, so make sure you remember it. Then please go ahead."
We wordlessly walked down the hall, now having a clear view of an arena. My eyes widened as I watched the people fight. This feels almost nostalgic. It's been a while since I've last seen a real arena, after all.
"(Y/N)? You coming?" asked Gon, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him, saying. "Oh, uh, yeah." I quickly followed him, taking a seat next to Killua. Gon sat down on my right, as Killua said: "It's been a while, but the place hasn't changed."
"Huh? You've been here before?" asked Gon, causing me to look at Killua. He answered: "Yeah, when I was six. My dad left me here without a penny. He said I should reach floor 200 before coming home. It took two years."
Two years, huh? That's how long it took me to be able to use my daggers without cutting myself. Oh, how much I miss using weapons to fight... Haven't done that in a while. "If you want to fight people on Hisoka's level, you'll need to go higher." stated Killua, bringing me out of my thoughts once more.
"#1973. #2055. Please enter ring E." said a female voice through the intercom. Gon quickly got up, saying: "#2055! That's me! I'm getting nervous now!" He took his backpack off, handing it to me.
I grinned up at him, saying: "Gon, let's make a bet!" "A bet?" he repeated, to which I said: "Uh-huh! Let's bet on who can defeat their opponent with the least attacks!" "Sounds interesting. I'm in." said Killua. Gon smiled, saying: "Alright, you're on!"
I watched as he went into ring E, holding his backpack close to my chest. "You can do it, Gon!" I called loudly, causing some people to glare at me. Not that I minded that, of course. Killua glanced over at me, asking: "He made it through the Testing Gate, right?"
"He did. With the help of Kurapika and Leorio, but they made it." I answered, remembering what they had told us. "You managed on your own, right?" he asked me, to which I nodded. "I opened four gates."
"Four?! I only managed to open three!" said Killua, a small pout presenting itself on his face. I grinned, saying: "I told them I could top three gates. They didn't believe me until I did it." "You're too strong for your own good. You know that?"
I chuckled at his words, saying: "Maybe I am. But it helped me rescue you, so I'm not complaining." His cheeks turned red as he said: "I... I, uh, look! Gon's fight is starting!" I quickly turned to look back at the arena, looking at the big guy that Gon was about to fight.
"Pfft- that guy won't stand a chance." I said, chuckling to myself. "Then... begin!" said the referee of the fight, signalling that it was about to begin. And just as quickly as it started, it was over. Gon had pushed his opponent out with a single attack.
I cheered, jumping up and down. Killua just smiled at me as I sat back down, saying: "I'm so excited to fight! I can't wait!" Then, the intercom-lady called Killua up for his fight.
"One attack." I reminded him of our bet, to which he chuckled, saying. "Easy." He left, and Gon returned a second later. I handed him his backpack, saying: "You did great, Gon!" He smiled at me, saying: "Thank you! I made it to floor 50 already!" "Amazing!"
"#2056. Please enter ring B." "Oh, that's me! I'll be right back!" I said, getting up and hurrying towards my assigned ring. Once I got there, a buff guy with huge muscles was glaring at me.
I simply smiled as the referee asked: "Are you sure you want to participate, girl?" I nodded, saying: "Of course!" "Then, begin!" he called out, backing off. My opponent laughed, saying: "This will be fun. I'll crush you, little girly."
I kept quiet, instead readying myself to attack. And with a single dash and punch, the buff guy was thrown into the crowd, landing on some innocent people. I waved at them, saying. "Whoops, sorry! I didn't mean to put so much strength into that one."
The referee stared at me with wide eyes, then typed something onto the device he held. "What a technique... You can go to floor 180." he told me. I looked up at Gon and Killua, who were both smiling at me, cheering for my victory.
"I'll start on 50." I told the man, to which he blinked a few times, saying: "But you're much stronger than-" "I know." I said, cutting him off. "But I want to stay with my friends. So, floor 50 it is."
