"What a cool room." said (Y/N), looking around them in awe. "It's my dad's office." replied Killua, shrugging his shoulders. "Kil." said Silva, gaining their attention. The two looked at the man, who said: "I would like to speak with her alone first. Is that possible?"

Killua clearly hesitated, but ended up agreeing, saying: "Okay." He exchanged a knowing glance with her, then turned, starting to walk out of the room again. (Y/N) had a small pout on her face, not wanting to be separated from him again, even if it was only for a short while.

"(Y/N), was it?" asked Silva, closely inspecting the girl. She nodded, saying: "That's me. You must be Killua's father." Silva nodded lightly, then asked: "Are you not scared of us?" "Not really. I mean, yeah, you're all super strong and stuff, but if you really wanted me dead, I'd already be six feet under."

"You like Killua, don't you?" asked Silva, quickly getting to the point. "I do! I like him a lot." she admitted, a small smile presenting itself on her lips, filled with confidence. "Keep good watch over him, alright?" he requested, not looking away from her. She chuckled, saying: "It's more like he'll take care of me. I'm a bit reckless, you see."

She then turned serious as she added: "But if he's ever in danger, I'd gladly throw myself into a fight to safe him. It's why I'm here in the first place." Thinking for a moment, Silva said: "You're a lot like your father, Chax. Is he doing well?"

Tilting her head a little, (Y/N) asked: "You know my dad?" "We were business partner for a while. Before he met your mother and fought as a Gladiator." "I see. He's doing fine, I think. I ran away from home like three months ago, but he's always been fine." she answered truthfully, shrugging.

"That sounds like Chax. You remind me of him." admitted Silva, thinking back to the time he worked with him. (Y/N)'s smile dropped a little, as she said: "Well, he trained me. I am the way that I am thanks to him. I'm just not that fixed on the money aspect of things."

Silva couldn't stop the small, barely notable smile to form on his face as she said that. She was like a ray of sunshine. Especially in the dark world his middle son was living in. "You're a good kid, (Y/N). Take care of Killua for me." (Y/N) grinned, nodding as she walked towards the door, waving before exiting. "Of course."

A soon as she stepped outside, Killua asked: "Are you okay?" She nodded her head, answering: "Yep. It's your turn now. I'll wait here." Killua remained in place for a second longer, then said: "If anything happens, please get me immediately."

The way he said that caused (Y/N) to take it very seriously. He obviously didn't like her being here. Basically anyone could kill her at any time, after all. This place was too dangerous. "I will." she told him, making him finally step into his father's office.

He closed the door, then walked up to his father, not saying anything. Silva said: "Kil. I heard that you've made some friends?" "Yeah." "What sort of people are they?" "What sort of...? They're people I enjoy being with." he answered, keeping his eyes on the ground. "I see."

Silva then asked him: "How was the Exam?" At that, Killua looked up at his father, answering: "It was easy." "Kil, come over here." "Huh?" "I want you to tell me more. What did you do during the Exam? Who did you meet? How did you feel? You can tell me anything."

Killua's cold, blue eyes widened a little as he looked at his father. "Okay." he said, starting to tell him all about the Exam, how he met (Y/N) and Gon, what tasks they had to absolve, and how much fun he had with his friends.

"And guess what Gon said next... He didn't want his legs cut off, but he didn't want to surrender, either!" told Killua, laughing alongside his father. "Sounds like an interesting boy. What about (Y/N)?" asked his father, already knowing how Killua saw her. He just had to confirm it.

Without thinking, Killua said: "She's amazing. She's physically stronger than me, and her fighting style is so unique. Everyone just had to watch her. It was like watching a movie! She really knows how to put on a show."

He then chuckled, saying: "But despite being a skilled Gladiator on the battlefield, she's an airhead. She's reckless and tends to throw herself in danger. She drank poisoned soda just because she wanted to! She can be such an idiot! But..."

His voice quieted down as a light shade of red dusted his cheeks. "I like her that way." he finally admitted. He closed his eyes for a moment, saying: "She even risked her life for me here. She came all the way here, was hurt over and over again, but she didn't leave. I..."

"Do you want to see your friends?" asked Silva, now knowing just what Killua was going through. He admired his friends. He wanted to be with them. But he feared that they would get in harms way because of him. Just like (Y/N) was hurt because of him.

Silva said: "You don't have to hold back. Tell me the truth. Thinking back, we've never had a father-son chat before. I was raised by my parents to be an assassin. And I raised you the same way."

Killua's eyes widened slightly as his father said: "You and I are different. I didn't realize that until you left home. You are my son. But you are your own person. Live as you please. If you get tired, you can come home. With the girl you like, too."

He put his hand onto Killua's head, ruffling his soft, white locks gently. He said: "I'll ask you one more time. Do you want to see your friends?" "Uh-huh." "I understand. You're free now. But..." started Silva, biting his thumb, drawing a bit of blood.

"Promise me one thing. Never betray your friends. Understand?" Killua nodded, biting his own thumb as he said: "I promise. I'll never betray them. Never." With that, they sealed the promise by blood.
