"Woah! This garden is huge!" I said to myself, starting to walk. As I looked around, I wasn't able to spot anyone, not even that Mike. Although I was able to hear him. It sounded like he was approaching, and I looked to my right.

Mike appeared, staring me down. I returned his stare, a smile growing on my face. While he sat down, I approached him, saying: "You're such a big boy!" He seemingly studied my movements as I stopped in front of him, patting his fur.

He was surprisingly soft and warm, causing me to giggle like a child. His tail began to wag as I patted him. "Such a good boy! Who's a good boy? You are!" I said, chuckling to myself.

Sighing softly, I said: "Alright, I have to go now. Maybe we can play some other time, okay?" Mike obviously didn't answer. He simply remained in place as I continued my way towards the mountain.

On my way, I kept on thinking about the things that Killua had told me about his family. They seem strange. And even I say that! But it's not like my upbringing is any better.

Man, I really miss Killua. I miss his snarky remarks, his carefree nature, his beautiful, blue eyes... It just feels so natural to be near him. I tend to get this fuzzy, happy feeling whenever he's near, and I really like that. I'm much more happy when he's around.

We're also pretty similar. We both have unhinged families that want to profit off of us. That want to control us. We just want to be free and do whatever we want. And what I want to do now is free him.

"Stop. You're trespassing on private property." I looked up once I heard the female voice, meeting eyes with a girl around my age. "Yeah, I know." I replied, wanting to continue my way. I have a friend to safe, after all.

She blocked my way, saying: "The butlers did not give you permission to enter." "But I came through the gate." "But you have not been given permission to walk around freely." "I don't care. I'm going to get Killua, so let me through." I demanded, to which she simply shook her head.

I readied my fists, saying: "If you won't let me pass, then I'll have to fight you." She took a fighting stance, saying: "I give you one last chance to turn around and leave." A wide grin appeared on my lips as I said: "Funny you said that. I was just about to say that to you."

Watching the fight from afar, Illumi said: "That's (Y/N), the Gladiator girl we're supposed to kill." His mother only stared at the girl, observing her movements closely. Without hesitation, she said: "The butler apprentice can't win."

"She's skilled and powerful. She was the one who did this to me." he said, motioning towards his two broken fingers. Kikyo placed a hand onto her chin in thought. She then asked: "And you said that Kil likes her?"

Illumi answered: "It's very obvious." "I see... Then that makes her Kil's first crush. Such a pretty girl, as well." They watched as the fight ended just as abruptly as it had begun. (Y/N) had won, having knocked Canary out rather quickly.

"She might have potential." noted Kikyo, still thinking. Illumi looked at his mother, saying: "But she's dangerous. Not to us, but to Killua." "I know. If what you told me is the truth, then he would probably betray us and leave with her."

"I gave him one week to convince her to go back. Otherwise, I said that I would kill her." informed Illumi, to which Kikyo said: "That was three days ago, huh? At this rate, she'll reach the mansion tomorrow morning."

Chuckling darkly, she said: "Killing her would be a waste. Why not give the girl a chance? Killua already likes her. She could be a potential partner for him. She comes from a background of violence and murder, after all." Illumi thought about her words for a little.

"I figured we could use her to break him." he admitted. Kikyo replied: "That would be plan b. For now, let's test how durable she is. I'll go get her."

I stepped over the girl, continuing my way. I would feel pity, if she hadn't provoked me. Nah, I wouldn't even feel pity then. She was in my way. And whatever gets in way, I'll remove it and continue. All for Killua.

"You must be (Y/N)." I stopped dead in my tracks, quickly looking up at the woman that had appeared right in front of me. Instinctively, I jumped back, creating distance between us. I hadn't even noticed her...

She chuckled, her voice soft and elegant as she spoke. "Illumi told me that you're here for Killua." I straightened my back, trying to make myself look taller as I said: "I am." She clearly studied my movements and appearance for a moment.

"Who are you?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her. If I end up fighting her, I'll lose. I can tell. "Why, I am Killua's mother, of course." "Where is he?" "He's in solitary confinement."

I stared at her for a moment, then asked: "What are you doing to him?" "Kil stabbed me and his brother before he ran away from home." she explained. "I know that much." I told her.

She smiled lightly, saying: "Kil returned because he regretted his actions. And he voluntarily entered solitary confinement. So we do not know when he will leave." "Just let him leave now." I said, shrugging.

"That is not an option. However, if you truly want to see him, then you can come to the mansion." she said, surprising me greatly. "I can?" "Yes, dear. Killua seems to be fond of you. It would be a shame if he never got to see you again."

"You sound fishy, but I really want to see Killua again. Ah, if only Gon was here with me..." I trailed off, thinking it all over again. They're up to something. Even an idiot like myself could tell. But on the other hand, I'll get to see Killua.

She smiled at me, saying: "You just have to go through a couple of tests before you can see him." I remained silent, causing her to speak up once more. "It'll only take three weeks. After that, should you pass, you would be able to enter and leave the Zoldyck estate as you wish. With Killua, of course." This is a horrible idea, isn't it? Oh, well!

"Alright."
