Prologue

  For clarification, I DO NOT PLAN TO MENTION ANYTHING FROM  THE RISE OF TITANS MOVIE ( you are all welcome) I also plan to base some of this story's lore between a mix of the lore found in the comics and from the original Trollhunters and wizards series so if my story diverges from the continuity of the Wizards tales of arcadia at the beginning regarding why was Bular the only Gumgum to be spared from banishment to the Darklands.

*the battle of Killahead bridge- forest near Camelot *

Bular was panting heavily as he ran through the forest to reunite with his father and their army to win the battle between King Arthur's men, the traitors from Dwoza, and... Merlin's champion. he still  can't believe he let himself get carried away chasing Arrrgh when the Krubera troll betrayed him and his father's army and before Bular had realized it, he was far away from the battle sight. 

During Bular's sprint towards the Killahead bridge his mind was flooded with thoughts fearing for his father's safety as the battle rages on. while he has confidance in his father's strength and firmly believes that he will win this war against human kind and those traitors from Dwoza... but he can't help but worry about his father fighting against the Trollhunter without him by his side he can't no he won't lose his father , his only family he has left after... after his mother was slain by the invaders that dared trespass into the dark woods of the Gumgum kingdom.

Bular was just a whelp when his mother was killed by a human soldier from Camelot long before Uther Pendragon was even born. he will never admit it but deep down he still feels guilt over his mother's death since she died protecting him when those wretched humans invaded their kingdom. his Father became the only source of comfort he had after his mother died and he knew that underneath his father's cold and heartless demeanor ... his father cared for him deeply and how his father still held onto the pain of losing his mate and would seek comfort from the pain through him in their bound as father and son.

To others regardless if they were Gumgum or any other troll tribe Gunmar the Black didn't have a heart let alone the ability to love or care for anyone other than himself and his desires but Bular knew the truth and knew that his father has to maintain this facade to strike fear in their enemies as the Gumgum King and to ensure that the rest of their kingdom knew not to oppose their King unless they wanted to face his father wrath...  and yet Arrrgh chose to defect from the Gumgum army even though he knew that if he were ever captured he would face death for his betrayal.

Bular can feel his lungs becoming dry and worn out from his sprinting and his head starts to feel light from over exhaustion but that didn't  matter what mattered was the fact that he can see the battle field through the trees. 

" F--ATHER FATHER" Bular shouted as he ran hoping to find his father to ensure that he was alive even though it hurt his throat and lungs shouting with what little air he had left ... then it happened.

Deya had opened the portal to the Darklands when placed that damned amulet in the Killahead Bridge. Bular could only watch in horror seeing his father along with the rest of their dark kingdom being sucked into the Darklands while he fell onto his knees due to his  body finally succumbing to exhaustion as he was spared the same fate due to the fact that he was too far away to be in range. 

" FATHER NO DON'T-DON'T LEAVE ME. please please don't go like mother did... not-not you too"

Bular hated how he was saved from such a fate due to something as pathetic as dumb luck and he blamed himself for his father's banishment  just like how he blamed himself for his mothers death... for the first time in centuries Bular cried as he listened to the sound of cheering from the Dwoza trolls and Knights of Camelot celebrating their victory but to Bular this was the most devastating day in his life because he failed... he failed his kingdom and his father for not returning to the battle field in time. 

Bular made a promise to himself to stop at nothing to free his father and the rest of the his tribe no matter how long it takes... even if it means dedicating all of his efforts on the task at hand above all of his needs.
