Kings Of Leon- Stormy Weather

"Who is that?" Noah asks when he finds me in at my cauldron polishing Aldrick's bones so that I can start putting him back together.

"Vera Goodwill," I answer reaching into the cauldron to take the rest of the bones out.

"You killed the High Priestess's daughter and brought her here to strip her flesh?" he asks.

"No, she broke in with my mother and I killed her to show my mother that I will not be fucking around anymore. Don't touch the bones until I finish cleaning them," I push him away with my elbow. "This is worse than battery acid,"

"You drugged me," he crosses his arms over his chest. He's wearing sweatpants and a grey T-shirt. That's not what I left him in, upstairs.

"You went home?" I ask pointing at his clothes.

"Yeah, I needed to change. I was sweaty next to your fire," he nods.

"Oh, shit. I'm sorry. I forgot to turn it off. I had my hands full," I point at the black body bag.

"What did they want or did they not say?"

"They broke in to take me back to the temple so they could take my magic again. A lot of deep dark secrets came up but nothing on why they want my magic,"

"What kind of secrets?" he asks.

"I made breakfast. I left yours in the mini oven," I focus on the cauldron and lift it so that I can start a fire.

"You shouldn't overdo it with your magic," he says. "You're no good to me if you're in the E.R. with a brain hemorrhage,"

I roll my eyes as I start tossing wood into the fire pit. I didn't expect him to come back to eat his breakfast at my workstation. He watches me closely. When I struggle with something he offers me help. Like when I had to put the cauldron back. He did it so easily too. Just a little swipe of his hand. Elemental magic is less straining. I pull the water from the pond to fill the cauldron.

"You're not upset with me?" I ask.

"In general?" he asks.

"With this," I laugh kicking the body bag.

"Nah, bitch had it coming," he shrugs. "I think we need to set some ground rules,"

"Rules?" I laugh and stop when I see he's completely serious. "Oh, um. Well, you might want to hold that thought until the others get here,"

"Others? What others?" his eyebrows pull together as he glares at me.

"Don't make that face. It's kind of cute," I grin. "Come on. This is going to take a while to boil and it needs to be hot before I prepare it,"

"I remember the first time you did that," he says glancing over at the bones I left out to dry. He takes the empty plate with him as we make our way through the greenhouse. "You cried that night,"

"I was fourteen," I shrug as I lock down the backyard. He goes over to the sink to wash the plate. "Done a lot worse since then," there's a knock on the front door. "Don't stare at her scar. She's got a mouth on her,"

I open the door to be greeted by Cody, Beverly, Verona, Violet, and Stefanie.

"This shit is siiick," Verona laughs. She's the first to step forward. She picks me up and swings me around.

"Sup," Violet says walking inside without taking her eyes off her phone. "What's the server password?"

"Active crime scene. All caps,"
