October was a month that passed much quicker than September, as it drew closer to the last day, that was Halloween, many were excited for the feast. Even the older students were excited for the feast and for their own parties that they would throw a night or two before.

"I wish i was older, i've heard the Halloween parties that older students throw are the best." Alice said sadness creeping in her voice. The 3 Ravenclaw girl were in their common room, looking at the older students who were preparing for the night.

"Yes, but also means there would be alcohol." Adelaide said skeptically.

"So? When you're older, you drink."

"Yes, but it's a risk being tipsy or drunk in a party that is attended by students, that are intoxicated or something like that. My parents, from now, always warn me about them, so that i won't get «hurt» in the future, whatever that's supposed to mean." Adelaide said.

"And they had a lot to say to Elizabeth this year, since she is kind of old enough for some parties i suppose, though she won't be attending any this year if she even wanted to, since she has OWLs this year."

"I thought when you're older, the best thing that can happen is coming of age so that you can party, not avoiding it." Sarah protested.

"Well, i don't want to be hungover at the class the next day, even if i attend one in the future, you won't find me having a drink in my hand or staying up late for a party."

"Well, contrary to you, i would be drinking and partying hard, because you are only going to be 16 or 17 once and partying in Hogwarts would be something I won't miss. Life's too short for that." Alice replied.

"Alice, you're every age once" Adelaide pressed.

"You can be the sober friend who had her girlfriends' backs at student parties. Hell, i think you'll be like my mother when the time comes." Alice suggested.

"Oh, that suits you, Dela. You are already the mother of the group and Lily is like the mother-in chief sometimes." Sarah giggled.

"So, why are you so brooding today?" Alice asked Adelaide, who was reading a book on transfiguration.

"Somerset got a 110 percent on the quizzes last week in potions. I got 105. I am most depressed."

"You've got to be joking, you two were one of the few completely correct papers, not to mention that both of you were the only ones who were above 100." Alice gasped.

"I have never thought scoring above 100 was a thing even, you learn something new every day." Sarah said laughing.

"Well, it doesn't matter he still was higher, so here i am."

"Well, you're stupid to be sad about being some 5 percent lower than him." Alice replied angered by Adelaide's words.

"Oh, but he was so rubbing it in my face. I wanted to shoot some fire at him."

"Dela, that doesn't make him better than you. Like, you got 112 percent on the transfiguration exam and he got a 100." Alice argued.

"Guys, let's stop talking of Somerset and the exams. Let's check out the Halloween decorations. It's time for dinner already." Sarah suggested as they went downstairs. "Let me bring my magical camera and take some photos of ourselves."

When they went down, they saw hundreds of pumpkins in the air, the ghosts were floating rapidly around and there was lots of decorative cobwebs and spiders. It was simply amazing.

"Filch is so going to have a hard time cleaning these mess." Alice said grinning.

Sarah took lots of pictures and divided them between the 3. They themselves were in most of the pictures and Sarah forced Dorcas, Mary, Marlene and Lily in the pictures too.
