Summer 1976

That Summer was certainly interesting and also turbulent. The death-eaters reign of terror was increasing and their crimes were becoming more and more frequent and disgusting. Sometimes it was for sport and sometimes they had reason to do so. Adelaide was already thinking of a way to contribute to the fight against Voldemort but for now she knew she had to study in her sixth year, before she could do anything.

Adelaide could see the sign of the times through her younger siblings growth. Edmund was growing in height and Adelaide had jokingly called him the «little giant» and everyone thought that Edmund would hit the ceiling if he continued to grow as much in the future. He was also very excited to see which house he was going to be sorted in and fidgeted around asking Mcgonagall, Dumbledore and Sprout about Hogwarts.

Helena in the other hand, had grown confident and perhaps it was because her being 14 years old was finally showing up, as she was very mature now. While she was wise and had a worldliness to her, she could be naive but her innocence was also being shed when being confronted by the news of the crimes. She was interested in healing and read different materials on them and had chosen to become a healer. Even though she was still shy, she was calm and collected and didn't stutter as much. She had also grown stunning and by each passing day, Adelaide could swear her sister's beauty was increasing. While she still held her doll-like visuals, her curls and vibrant greenish-blue eyes gave her life and her elegance had increased too and she was only a little shorter than Adelaide.

Her personal growth had indeed shown on her appearance.
Their father was also very proud of Helena and very protective of her. Helena still baked and enjoyed playing the piano.

Adelaide was no longer a child and Robert was also both proud and worried for her. Adelaide's powers were growing and she was always studying for more curses, charms, spells and anything that could be life saver. There was a spell that made her very curious and that was the ancient protection spell made of love. While it was a beautiful concept, she hoped that she wouldn't have to ever use it, since it meant that there needed to be a sacrifice for it to be casted. She only put it in her memory and turned the page away.

She also wrote letters to her friends; the girls, the marauders, Frank, Henry and Albert. She also had written a few to Maud and Pandora as well. The only person she had no connection to was Stephan. She really wanted to talk to him but she felt as if their first conversation after his confession needed to be done in person, in peace and so she didn't try to write to him, and he didn't either as he wanted to give her space to sort things out. She also didn't write to Snape as he wasn't her friend anymore, something he chose himself. Even though his dry humour would certainly be missed but that was that.
Everything was fine and normal. Victoria and Elizabeth visited them with their beloved from to time and Elizabeth had a beautiful glow on her face due to pregnancy. She was going to give birth in a few weeks and so the anticipation was killing them.

Everything was normal until one evening. Edmund was watching muggle tv, Helena was painting with water colour, her new passion for which she was had a great talent, in the hall while Adelaide was reading a book, while Midnight laid on her lap.
Their father was also with them in the hall, doing a word puzzle and a fresh breeze was coming from the slightly opened window. Their housemaids were having a few days off and so the house was quiet.
Then suddenly they heard a violent tapping on the door.

"Papa, did you expect anyone?" Adelaide asked.

"No." Robert said confused as he put his pen down. Then the violent knocking on the door continued.

"Hmm. Let's see." Robert pulled his wand out but held it someway that if a muggle was behind the door, he would be able to hide it.

He opened the door and said: "What the hell? Oh god, children, come here and help."
