Adelaide was still thinking of what Mulciber meant by his choice of words. While Severus told her not to worry, she didn't find it in herself to trust him anymore. Severus and Lily had many of their arguments again, over god knows what and frankly Adelaide already knew it was Severus' fault. He had become a hateful cunning person and his hate didn't only extend towards the marauders, it had grown rapidly. First towards other Gryffindors and then towards other houses as well. His lack of empathy towards muggles and muggle-borns was concerning as well. While he didn't hate them but he didn't care, even if they were caught in the worst massacre ever.

Adelaide began thinking of her and her siblings being ambushed by the death-eaters and Voldemort. While they went to a muggle society wedding that night and it was reported in muggle magazines, no one really knew that the Winchester children were attending, no one but the wedding guests and Dumbledore told her that the ambush was due to her, they were waiting for her in one way or another, not to kill her or kidnap her but for their master to see what had become of her skills, skills that no one should have known about their progress. So they had some information. But from whom?

"Dela, do you think i should wear the pink dress or the violet one?" Sarah cut into her thoughts, as she was trying on dresses in their room.

"What?"

"For our Hogsmeade trip, of course. I am going on a date with Henry. After our little excursion together, we are separating, remember?" Sarah told her as she took in Adelaide's puzzled face.

"Oh, don't tell me you forgot we have the trip in two days?" Alice laughed.

"Oh, yeah... i mean i did remember we had something going on this week but ugh, the stress for OWLs is getting to me." Adelaide apologised.

"So, which one? The violet or the pink?"

"The pink goes well with the new shoes you bought. I suppose you would like to try them on soon, it can be your chance." Adelaide quickly answered.

"Hmmm, you're right. Alice also chose the pink one."

"Do you have any plans afterwards? I suppose you don't have any, judging by your lack of knowledge on this trip." Alice asked Adelaide cautiously.

"Ugh, i don't know. Perhaps i did have something later but i forgot that too."

"You are not a fish, Dela. Frankly, your memory never fails you." Sarah told her as she had returned back to reviewing for a transfiguration quiz.

Adelaide merely nodded at her as she remembered the fact that William had asked her out with his charming smile and everything. Mulciber's words were in the back of her mind when she accepted him and let him kiss her. It was just weighing heavily on her mind, especially the fact that rumours were circulating about what some of the Slytherin students were up to.

"Huh, you do seem a little... down." Alice noted.

"About what? I am just... busy thinking about something. That's all." Adelaide responded, smiling lightly at her friends.

Alice and Sarah only looked at her with worry, but knew better than to ask. If there was anything, they trusted Adelaide would tell them herself, in time. They went back to studying and reviewing together.

On the day of their trip, Adelaide wore a red baby doll dress, with a cream light jacket on with black shoes. She wore her hair down with a silk red headband and she first was going with her friends to Hogsmeade to shop for her essentials and the joke and sweets shop but they were going to separate, without going to get beer first as it was their last Hogsmeade trip this year and everyone wanted to catch on with other friends or loved ones.
