There you stood in front of the gothic building that was the Phantomhive Café. You could already smell the food being cooked inside, which caused your mouth to water. You probably shouldn't have skipped breakfast, but you were running late!

You took in a breath and adjusted your top, making sure you looked presentable enough for this interview. You held your resume to your chest and took in a deep breath. New job, it can't be that bad! It's better than your old job mowing lawns!

You stepped through the door and...

"Watch out!"

A high-pitched woman's voice shouted as something rammed hard into your side. You let out a yelp as you fell to the floor. You immediately felt someone grab your shoulders before you could even process what had happened.

"Oh, I am so sorry! I need to start watchin' where I'm wheelin' this blasted cart!" The woman said as she helped you stand. She seemed flustered as she fixed up your shirt for you and handed you your resume.

After finally getting a chance to breathe, you examined her. She had hazel eyes and maroon-red hair, which was cut short and tied into two pigtails. A pair of thick, round glasses sat on her nose, the right lense being cracked. She wore a maid's uniform...

Oh hell no, was this a maid café?!

You internally cringed at the thought as the woman fixed the cart she had hit you with. "I-It's fine..." was all you could manage.

"I hope I di'int bruise ya ribs, it would be a shame if I hurt a customer!"

You smoothed out a wrinkle in your shirt and gave her an awkward smile, "Oh, actually, I'm here for an interview."

She perked up at the word 'interview'. "Really?" She said with a slight tilt of her head. She smiled brightly and took you by the wrist, practically dragging you through the building, "Why, that's just great, that is! We've been needin' someone new helpin' out around 'ere! I can't wai-"

"Mey-rin." A slightly stern voice said from behind the two of you.

The woman, which you figured was Mey-rin, immediately froze and turned around. "S-Sebastian!"

You raised a brow and turned as well. The person standing behind you was...

Hello sailor!

You had never seen a guy like him before! He was literally the personification of 'tall, dark, and handsome'. His skin was pale, nearly white, contrasting well with the raven black of his hair. His eyes were nearly a crimson red. What deity could've blessed this earth with this My Chemical Romance praying mantis?!

Mey-rin, rightfully so, had a red hue to her cheeks as she stared up at the man, who was apparently named Sebastian, according to her startled exclamation.

"Shouldn't you be putting away dishes?" Sebastian asked, his gaze falling on you for a moment before he looked back at the flustered woman.

"Yes sir, I was, but I crashed the cart into them!" She placed a hand on your shoulder, "They was lookin' for an interview, they was!"

"An interview?" Sebastian's gaze fell on you once again. He smiled softly and held out a hand, "My apologies for not greeting you sooner."

You hesitated before taking his hand, giving it a firm shake as you gave him an awkward smile, "It's good, uh... Sebastian?"

He nodded once and brought your hand towards his lips, "Sebastian Michaelis, you're the one who booked an interview last night, correct?"

You were definitely blushing with a stupid smile on your face as you nodded, "Mhm! Yep!" You said as you pulled your hand back to save yourself any more embarrassment.

Sebastian looked a bit amused when you pulled your hand back and stood up straight, folding his own hands behind his back. "You must be (Name) (Last Name) then?"

You nod, picking at the corner of the folder holding your resume. Why were you so nervous around this guy? Sure, he was hot, but there was something else. You couldn't quite put your finger on it, and before you even got the chance to, he was already speaking again.

"The young master is in his office, if you will please follow me upstairs."

You nodded and followed the shady guy upstairs, holding your resume tight.

You fidgeted with your sleeves as the twelve-year-old himself looked through your resume with a bored expression. You sat across from him with a cup of tea in front of the both of you, courtesy of Sebastian, who was stood by the door.

You couldn't help but occasionally glance at him. Why was he staring at you like that? You quickly looked back at Ciel just as he placed your resume on the table in front of him. "The only job you had previously was... mowing lawns in your senior year?" He asked as he lifted his tea cup and took a small sip

The tips of your ears went red from embarrassment as you nodded, "I was saving up to move out if my parents' house. Oh, I did help out at a convenience store my uncle owned!"

Ciel didn't look impressed, then again, he always didn't look impressed, "I see...". He raised a brow, "Then I don't see why I should hire you."

You felt your heart sink and all ounces of hope you had for a job died along with whatever pride you had. Geez, this kid was scary.

"If I may speak, master." Came Sebastian's voice from next to the door.

Ciel raised a brow and looked up at the intimidating butler, "You may."

"We only have five people in our staff. Sure, they don't have any work experience, but one more person couldn't hurt."

Ciel seemed to consider Sebastian's words, placing his index finger on his chin and tapping it a few times. "I suppose you are correct." He slid the folder across the table to you and sat straight in his seat." I expect you here tomorrow at eight. Sebastian will provide you with a uniform."

Your hope immediately returned and your eyes lit up. You smiled warmly and shot up from your seat, "Thank you so much, Mister Phantomhive!" You picked up your resume and give him a polite nod, "You won't be disappointed, I promise!"

Ciel nodded and took another sip of his tea, motioning with his pinky to shoo you off. Sebastian opened the door for you and you stepped out, a bright smile on your face that you couldn't contain. Sure, the place gave you the creeps,

But hell yeah, you have a job!

As you stepped out of the front door a voice interrupted your thoughts. "Mx. (Last Name)." Came the voice of a certain hottie.

You turned and looked up at Sebastian, who was holding a uniform in his hand that was neatly folded, by him you assumed.

"Your uniform." He said, holding out the clothes to you. You nodded and took the outfit from him, an awkward smile plastered on your face.

"Right, sorry..." As you expected, there wasn't a wrinkle in sight. It was as if this guy was built in a factory! You smiled up at him, "Thank you, Sebastian."
