"You think Sebastian is a... what?" Bard asked whilst in the middle of lighting up a cigarette.
"Well, not so loud!" You said quickly, giving his arm a light swat. You sighed, crossing your arms and setting a broom aside, "I think he's a demon." You whispered to him.
"Oh, (Name), Sebastian is capable of so many things, but tha' doesn't make 'im a demon." Mei-rin said before pausing, the tips of her ears gaining a red hue, "Though, tha' sure would be cool, tha' would..."
You stared at her for a moment before speaking, "Someone really need to show you fanfiction, Mei-rin."
"What?"
"Nevermind."
Finny tilted his head, "What makes ya think he's a demon, (Name)?"
"What makes you think he might not be?" You retorted with a furrowed brow, "He isn't exactly secretive about his abilities, and that damn 'one hell of a butler' thing sure is brought up a lot."
Bardroy put a finger on his chin, "Well, it does make a lot of sense. I've watched the man tackle a Demon Hound before."
"Yeah, exactly, the Demon Hound in our backyard is even more proof!" You said, "I did some research when I went home yesterday and according to folklore, Demon Hounds prefer supernatural masters! Pluto is really attatched to Sebastian. Sure, he likes us, but he obeys Sebastian!"
"Tha' does make sense..." said Mei-rin said, her brows slightly raised.
"What if we investigate?" Finny asked, a spark of excitment and intruige in his eyes.
You paused to think before shrugging, "Sure, I'm not opposed."

"You sure he'll notice it?" Finnian whispered as you all peered around a corner of the pantry into the kitchen. On the kitchen counter sat a cross and a Bible. "I mean, what if that's all just a hurtful Demon stereotype?"
"It's a holy object, Finny!" Bard whisper yelled to the shorter man, "Of course it isn't just some stereotype, he's gonna react to it!"
You all froze when you saw Sebastian finally enter the kithen. You held your breath, watching carefully for when he'd finally notice the cross and Bible. Sebastian picked up a broom, casually starting to sweep the floor with a gentle smile. Everyone tensed when you all noticed his eyes on the holy items.
"He sees them!" Finny whispered, his eyes glimmering with anticipation.
Sebastian tilted his head slightly, setting the broom aside. Then, to everyone's surprise, he grinned and lifted the items, tossing them out the window.
"How odd, I wonder who forgot these here." He said casually before leaving the room.
Everyone sat there, dumbfounded. Finally, after what felt like forever, Bardroy spoke up.
"Did he just...?"
"Yeah." You said, furrowing your brows, "He did."
"Wha' now?" Mei-rin asked, looking in your direction.
You paused to think before Finnian spoke up, "Why can't we just ask?"
"Wouldn't he get mad if we just told him we knew he was a demon?" Bard asked, taking out a cigarette to light it, "I mean, it's obvious the man's trying to keep it a secret. It could piss him off knowing the secret got out."
You sighed, leaning against the wall, "Yeah, that makes sense." You pinched the bridge of your nose, "But he also might just laugh it off. Killing off an employee immediately might just add to suspicion."
"Who's gonna ask him then?" Finny asked with a tilt of his head.
Then, everyone's eyes were on you. You gave them a confused look, "Why me?"
"Well, you was the one who brough' up the theory." Mei-rin said with an awkward smile. "So it makes sense."
The other two agreed while Tanaka just let out his usual laugh and sipped his tea. You grasped at your sleeves. Mei-rin had a point. You had dragged them into this. But on the other hand, Sebastian could be fucking scary. If he was a demon, he could kill you on the spot just for asking! Still, you were sure Sebastian was smarter than that. It would be weird to everyone else if you just vanished after they knew you went to ask if he was demonic.
Eventually, you sighed and nodded, "Alright, I'll ask." You said, giving them a smile, "I'm sure he's smart enough to not do anything."

You couldn't help but fidget with your sleeves as you entered the kitchen, where you found Sebastian washing dishes. You swallowed and stepped up beside him.
"Need some help?" You asked, internally cringing when your voice cracked.
Sebastian glanced down at you before grinning, "Not avoiding me anymore, (Name)?"
You shrugged, "I figured it was about time I actually talked to you about uh..." for some reason you found yourself unable to utter the words.
You couldn't help but tense when Sebastian finally leaned down to your ear and whispered, "About the fact that I'm a demon?"
