All you could do was stand there in shock. There on the rooftop above you was... probably the most fabulous person you'd ever seen. Long dark-red hair, shark-like teeth, and red-framed glasses accessorized with a chain with skulls. Their outfit fit them perfectly, extenuating their figure.
They looked down at you and Sebastian with a furrowed brow, their gloved hand rested upon their chest.
"Honestly, Bassy, I thought you had better tastes than this!" They said, leaning forward and adjusting their glasses. They made you feel so small with the power they held in their stance alone.
However, Sebastian looked quite annoyed, "Grell, I can't say I'm happy to see you." he said, giving an obviously forced smile, "My partner and I have some questions for you."
You furrowed your brows and immediately whipped around to look up at him. Did he just call you his partner? You didn't have time to question it as the red woman, Grell, jumped down from the rooftop and did your job for you.
"Partner?!" She scoffed and stood up straight, her hand on her forehead, "Oh Bassy, you moved on that quickly? My heart has been shattered!"
You looked back at Grell, having not expected her to be so dramatic. Before you knew it her piercing chartreuse phosphorescent eyes were on you.
"Tch, this is the best you can do?" She asked, furrowing her brows.
After getting over your initial shock, you held your hands up, "Woah, hey, I'm not dating him." You quickly said, glancing up at Sebastian. You hadn't meant to make it sound like you were disgusted by Sebastian, you knew he was super hot, but if it helped get this reaper off your back so be it.
Sebastian looked down at you, "You wound me, (Name)." His gaze fell back on Grell, "But they are correct. We're not a couple. They're simply an acquaintance."
Grell perked up at this, "So... You're still single?" She fluttered her lashes before beaming brightly, "Oh wonderful! That means I still have a chance and I won't be getting in huge trouble for ending someone early!"
"Wait, what?" You said, looking startled. Looking over the fact that Grell had just jumped down from a rooftop unharmed, you had nearly forgotten she was a reaper! You started to wonder if you should be a bit more fearful of the flamboyant woman in red.
"Enough of the theatrics, we have business to settle." Sebastian said, stepping closer to Grell.
Grell seemed excited as the taller being stepped closer, gazing up at him longingly, "Bassy, are you gonna interrogate me?" She asked, poking her index fingers against her cheek.
"Indeed I am." He narrowed his eyes down at the reaper, "Why have you started up the whole 'Jack the Ripper' act?"
Grell paused, staring up at him for a moment before bursting into laughter. She furrowed her brows, "Oh, Bassy, you amuse me! Why on earth would I want to do such a silly thing like that again? That would be so boring!"
Sebastian glared down at her, grabbing her collar, "And how do I know you're not lying."
For a moment Grell looked genuinely scared, but then her face went red, "So rough, that's no way to treat a lady." She reached up and booped his nose, "Oh come on now, Sebastian! You're perceptive, you should know when someone is telling a lie or not."
Sebastian's gaze softened and he sighed, stepping back, "I suppose you're correct."
You couldn't help but furrow your brows. Why was Sebastian so pressed about this all of a sudden? He had always seemed so nonchalant about everything, even when he was threatening to kill someone! The only time you had ever seen him so worked up was when he was getting onto the other employees and dealing with Pluto.
