"I thought the café was closed at night." You said to Sebastian as you stepped out of your apartment, slipping on your coat. "Why do we have to head there at this time?"
"You'll see." Sebastian said simply, although you couldn't miss the grin on his face.
You grimaced at what he could be planning but stepped out of your apartment with him anyways, locking the door behind you. After trekking down the long flight of stairs you both head off down the dark streets, Sebastian leading the way.
After walking for a bit, you realized you had missed a turn that led to the cafe. You paused, which Sebastian took notice of.
"Sebastian..." You furrowed your brows as you looked up at him, "Where are you taking me?"
You couldn't hide the fear in your eyes no matter how hard you tried. Had he decided he was going to kill you for knowing too much? Your heart raced at the thought. You weren't ready to die yet! You had just started out at life! Who was gonna feed Huxley?!
Sebastian took notice of your trembling hands and the bead of sweat running down your temple. He breathed a laugh and placed a hand on your shoulder, "Calm down, (Name). Nothing bad is going to happen to you."
"You're not helping! Your smile is too weirdly sinister!" You exclaimed.
Sebastian sighed and stood up straighter, "I'm not going to kill you, (Name)." He said, his tone serious yet gentle enough to reassure you a bit.
But only a bit.
"How do I know I can trust you?" You asked, crossing your arms, "I already lost trust in you the moment I figured out you were a demon."
Surprisingly, Sebastian looked a bit hurt by your words, "You wound me, (Name)." He smiled and patted your head, "I'll tell you what, let's make a deal!"
"Fuck no!"
"Not that kind of deal." He moved his hand back, "If I promise not to kill you, you have to promise not to panic when I tell you why we're here."
You grimaced but eventually nodded, holding out a hand to him, "Fine..."
Sebastian smiled warmly as he shook your hand, "Though it is a shame I can't form a contract with you. Your soul seems so delicious."
You immediately yanked your hand back, "Ew! Don't talk about how my soul tastes in front of me!"

Sebastian walked you down the dark alleyway, a hand on your shoulder. You hugged yourself as you walked.
"So... I'm just bait for this reaper person?" You asked, looking up at him.
"Yes. You see, Grell gets envious if she thinks I'm with another person." Sebastian's eyes twitched, "She's quite the nuisance... I wonder what she's doing back all these years."
"All these years?" You raised a brow, "How long have you known her?"
Sebastian sighed, "She's been bothering the young master and I since the eighteen hundreds."
"I'm fucking sorry, what?!" You stared up at him in shock. "You and Ciel have been alive since the eighteen hundreds?! I mean, you make sense! But Ciel? The twelve year old?!"
"Yes, it's quite the story. Perhaps I should tell it to you sometimes since you like finding out about our personal information." Sebastian looked down at you, seeming a bit annoyed.
You furrowed your brows. You'd never really seen Sebastian annoyed before. He has his moment with your co-workers, but he looked pissed off.
"Did I say something wrong?" You asked, placing a comforting hand on his forearm, "Look dude, if I brought up a hurtful memory, I'm sorry."
Sebastian looked a bit surprised at your touch, glancing down at your hand before gaining a teasing smile, "Awe, you do care."
You rolled your eyes, a grin tugging at your lips, "Or maybe I know when I've overstepped boundaries." You chuckled and looked up at him, "Did I just give you another reason to trade me?"
"Perhaps." Sebastian patted your head, "I do appreciate your consideration, (Name)."
"And just who might that be, Bassy?" A voice echoed down from the top of a building.

Notes:
I am alive!!! I'm sorry for the pause in story updates but I promise I won't be leaving this fanfic unfinished! I've had quite a lot going on in my life which means writing this hasn't been my top priority. I'm not saying I don't enjoy writing and sharing my stories will you all, it just hasn't really been the most important thing in my life. I've been going through quite a bit of writers block.
That being said, expect chapters to come to a slowdown. However, don't expect them to come to a complete halt. I hope you can have patience with me while I post once in a blue moon. Thank you for the support on this! It's my biggest story by far. If you'd like updates, feel free to follow me as I post updates on my stories and announcements.
