It was Sebastian's turn to spoil you the next day at work. He was behind you massaging your shoulders, letting you spend time with him and Ciel during your breaks, and even sitting outside with you and Pluto. The two of you were currently in Ciel's office, the work day finally over. Ciel sat in his chair, watching Sebastian write.
"Dude, why do you have to pay taxes? You're twelve."
"Fourteen."
You scoffed, looking down at the earl with furrowed brows. "What? No way!"
Ciel looked up at you with a raised brow, "You've been working here for nearly a year. And my birthday is December 14th."
You furrowed your brows, glancing between him and the calendar hanging in his office. "You were thirteen when I started?!" You exclaimed, standing and rushing over to the calendar. "No way! You've got such a baby face..."
Ciel grimaced, looking back down at the final paper Sebastian was signing. "Yes, thank you for the reminder." He sighed, adjusting his eye patch. "And as for your earlier question, I took over my family's company years ago after my parents' death. As such, I have their duties to fulfill."
You looked back at him, a small smile tugging at your lips. "You mean have Sebastian fulfill?"
Ciel rolled his eyes, "I take care of other duties."
Sebastian sighed, removing the pair of reading glasses that had been perched on his nose. "In all my centuries of life, never did I think I'd be doing such pointless things as navigating the human tax system."
You chuckled, sitting down next to him on the edge of his chair. "Yeah, it's the worst. Glad I'm not doing it."
"Careful, I might have you start helping me."
You sighed dramatically, leaning your head against his shoulder. "Oh, the horror! You'd make your partner do such a thing?"
"Could you two not flirt in my office? It's grating."
You smirked, reaching over and pinching his cheek, "Oh, and another thing. Years of life alongside Sebastian and you barely know how to do your taxes?"
"I know how to... Ugh, things have changed a lot!" The boy swatted at your hand, his face beet red with embarrassment.
You chuckled and adjusted his eye patch for him. "Hey, relax, I'm just joking." You patted his arm before leaning back into Sebastian just as he finished the last of the paperwork. "You know, you could just do this online."
Ciel's eye twitched, "Don't get me started."
Sebastian grinned, "The young master struggles with modern technology."
"Wait, then who set up the page I found when I was job hunting?"
The two exchanged glances, Sebastian holding that amused grin. You felt a smile tug at your lips at the kid's embarrassment. You often forgot he was turned demon in the eighteen hundreds. He was pretty much an old man when it came to modern tech. You were surprised Sebastian even understood it. But even you knew if you were to ask you'd hear the same old answer. "If he couldn't do that, then what kind of butler would he be?"
You sighed, patting Ciel's head. "Alright, alright, I'll stop teasing you before I get fired."
Ciel huffed, glaring down at his desk. "Tch..."
