Dog days

Third person POV

Dream, George, and Sapnap were getting ready for their next manhunt. They were going to stream it as they really didn't have any other ideas and thought that they could give some nostalgia to their viewers, it was really like when teachers didn't have a lesson plan so they put a movie on instead. The three were at Dream's house, in different rooms of course but still at his house.

"Hey, can one of y'all call Bad?" Dream asked, typing away at his computer trying to get the world set up and also disabling name tags.

Sapnap hummed, sitting back in his chair as he was waiting for the world to be done. "I texted him a bit ago on discord, he hasn't opened yet. That or hasn't responded." He answered, looking at his other monitor that showed the discord chats.

George huffed, he figured Bad wouldn't respond as Bad had been slow to responding lately, even when off stream. "He's probably asleep, he stays up nearly all night. Call him." George popped a chip in his mouth, making a face at the strong salt taste.

Sapnap ended up calling him, it rang for a good while before it was picked up, "hello?" Bad asked. His voice was rough and scratchy, unlike the usual that would be somewhat soft but happy and high pitched in a way.

"Yo. Dude, you good?" Sapnap asked, concern lacing his voice.

"Yeah man, you sound like you're dying over there." Dream said.

The three men didn't get a response for a bit, it was just silence, which was extremely ad-normal. Usually Bad would have said he was fine and just tired, a common but believable excuse seeing as Bad got little to no sleep.

The silence broke as Bad started to cry, which caught all of them off guard as they weren't used to Bad crying to them. Usually Bad went to Qauckity when he needed to cry, usually though he was drunk and vented a lot about everything.

"Hey, hey. Bad what's wrong?" Dream asked worriedly, not wanting Bad to be crying. He wasn't used to it and it was gut wrenching to hear.

Bad cried harder, he'd been holding it in for so long and he couldn't hold back anymore, to much was happening at the moment and he was trying to push everything down but he couldn't. "S-she died!" He cried through gasping breaths.

The topic of death hit hard, the three had a deep feeling they knew who Bad was crying about, but they didn't want to assume and they also wanted to get him to vent to them about it.

"Who?" George asked, taking more of a soft tone.

"l-Lucy d-died!" Bad said, sobbing and crying.

He'd almost forgotten what this pain was, how much it hurt. The squeezing pain in his chest, the feeling like his heart was actually being ripped apart. He wanted the pain to stop, wanted to get the comfort that his little companion would give.

The other three fell silent, a deafening silence. If anyone knew Bad they knew how much his dog meant to him, how much he loved her to no end.

"...do you...want us to come over?" Dream asked softly, he didn't want Bad to be alone but also didn't want to demand that they come over. He understood that people grieve differently and sometimes wished to be alone, though if Bad wanted them to come over they wouldn't hesitate to go to him.

"...pl-please..." Bad whimpered, his voice soft. He wanted to have company and warmth, to have someone say it was going to be okay and that everything was fine.

The three didn't hesitate, standing up and starting to get ready. The game and streams planned were long forgotten, "we're going to be there soon." Sapnap said, getting a sniffle and soft 'okay' in response.

They got into dream's car and started their way towards Bad's house, it's not like he lived to far anyways. Thought Bad had been planning to move as of recent, somewhere with less heat. Bad's house was a simple one story house with a small driveway, the panted white building reflecting the Florida heat like a mirror.

The three got out of the car and went to the door, with the essentials for a bad day. Vanilla bean ice cream, M&M's, and of course themselves. They walked inside, the door already unlocked. Bad came down the stairs of his house looking disheveled, his long brown hair a curly mess as he didn't have the energy to try and straighten it and he was in the clothes he usually wore to be comfortable, a pair of sweats and an oversized shirt.

"Hey buddy...we have some ice cream...and M&M's" George said, Dream going into the kitchen and placing the frozen treat into the freezer. The fridge and Freezer nearly empty, a cold desert.

Bad was silent, not saying much, he just shuffled over to Sapnap and rested his head against his chest. Sapnap hugged him and gently lead him to the living with the two following them. They sat on the couch, understand that Bad didn't want to talk about it.

Dream grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, he went to Netflix and to Bad's profile. "Do you want to watch something?...MLP?...or do you want to watch a comedy? I heard Red Notice is funny."

Bad looked at the TV, he did enjoy watch MLP and he was a bit embarrassed by it but then again just about everyone knew that. Though he knew his friends wouldn't mind watching MLP with him, he didn't want to bore them like that, "Red Notice...please.."

None of them had a complaint so they all relaxed and watched the movie, getting a few laughs from them. They all hung out on the couch, eating M&M's and ice cream. Soon though the movie ended and the DreamTeam started to try and get Bad to vent to them, they knew Bad would hold it in till they left and they didn't want that to happen.

Bad ended up going back to sobbing not long after they started to talk, "I j-just want my d-dog b-back!" He would cry. He repeated the phrase over and over again till he couldn't form words anymore, all he could do was sob and cry incoherently.

The three tried their best to get him to stop crying in the beginning but soon realized that getting him to cry it out for now was for the best. So that's what they did. They held him and comforted him as he cried. They would say conforming things like; "she's never truly gone." , "we'll be here with you." , and "just let it out buddy."

They continued this till Bad soon passed out from crying for so long. George went to go find where Bad's room was while Dream and Sapnap cleaned up the living room. Once they were done and George had found the room Dream took Bad to his room, George now taking Dreams place in cleaning up.

They decided to just stay at Bad's house, Dream and George falling asleep on the couch and Sapnap getting a bean bag in Bad's room.

They would stay with Bad till he felt better. Till Bad could fall asleep like he used to without crying for hours before hand. They didn't care how long it would take, they'd stay with their friend till he was all better.

The next morning, Dream sat on the couch as George and Sapnap helped Bad make breakfast. "No..no..no..no..God no." Dream muttered to himself as he scrolled. He stopped on one image and smiled widely, "perfect." He dilated the number that was given, stepping outside the house for privacy.

"Hello?...yes I was wondering if I could negotiate the price...of the white Maltese...great! When can I come get her?"
