''Vivianne, so happy to see you again!''
Viv chuckles shaking the interviewer's hand as she sits in front of her near the beach and smiles. ''Happy to see you too Mel, how are you?''
''Oh you know me, nothing ever changes.'' Mel muses. ''How are you?''
''Life is looking up.'' Viv replies honestly a grin playing on her lips.
''So I've seen, how is the little goat?''
Viv laughs at the nickname and crosses her legs. ''Acting on a whole lot of mischief at the moment, he definitely hung out with Katie one day too many.''
''Is he around here somewhere?''
Viv shakes her head and smiles. ''It's almost dinner time, so he is staying with my teammate and friend Beth Mead and her family he was here this morning though during our morning jog with Rona their family dog.''
''Will he be traveling to the Euros with you?'' Mel asks curiously as she types some things down on her phone while the recorder runs, Viv nods her head and smiles.
''He will be yes and the team can't wait to meet him.'' She breaths out with a grin. ''Dries already promised me that Jo can sit with him in the dugouts during friendly's and training, during matches he will stay with my brother.''
Mel nods her head looking up at her after once again typing some things on her tablet to extend the article with a description of Viv's facial reaction and smiles sadly as she reaches out to pause the recorder. ''Not a question to be written down but how deep are questions allowed to go?''
''Not too private please.'' Viv glances down at the questions Mel wrote down for the interview and nods her head. ''Those are alright.''
Mel just smiles tapping record again and crosses her legs. ''How are you finding the work/mama balance?''
''Oh it was quite difficult to find a rhythm, but in the past six months I managed to find one.'' Viv breaths out with a grin. ''I still train fully and join all matches, but the team is a godsend and they help me where they can.'' She continues.
''During matches, Jo mostly hangs out with our physio and during training he enjoys standing with Jonas or joins us, he replaced the weighted vest for one of us so whoever he picked to cuddle with that day will sprint around with him instead of a vest.'' She muses. ''I also have my best friends Katie, Lotte sometimes Jill and Beth coming over frequently the latter mostly barges into my house and kidnaps Jo exclaiming a Jo and B day while I relax and study a bit or nap.''
''Huge support group.'' Mel breaths out.
''Oh yeah, and I am so thankful for all of them.'' Viv breaths out. ''Everything that happened brought us closer together as a team, we are all a part of a self-created family away from home and plan at least one or two days a week to spend together even if it's just to have dinner.''
''Talk about what happened.'' Mel breaths out. ''You've had a tough 6 months, do you feel almost back to being you now?'' She asks curiously. ''You're certainly looking keen and tear up the pitch with your skills.''
Viv nods her head and chuckles. ''I do yes, the girls all had my back and didn't allow me to dwell too much on things that happened. With Jo, I also didn't allow myself to fall back to the old me you know?'' She breaths out. ''Just like I said in the last question, I am incredibly grateful to call the girls manning the pitch my family. Without them I would have never trusted myself to still adopt Jo but I know they can show him a lot of things as his aunties and watching them warms my heart, he is filled with joy and trusts everyone but he does have his favorite cuddle buddies.''
