Beth and Viv have been teammates at Arsenal for a few years, the pair hadn't really interacted much nor took much interest in each other's personal lives outside of football or made any attempts to hang out.
Not until Viv encounters a break up with...
After the Olympics and The Netherlands coming in third, the girls and Josh focused on the last bit of wedding planning and the season picking back up.
"Vivianne!"
"Jill?" Viv asks chuckling as she barges into the room of the venue where she will get ready with Katie, Lotte, Vic and Jill.
"Shit, you are already dressed." Jill sighs, Viv frowns in confusion and glances behind her at Katie.
"Almost all of us are, what's going on?"
"It's Beth.." Jill starts.
"Where is she?" Viv asks.
"Viv.."
"Mate you are already dressed, I thought the both of you agreed to surprise each other," Lotte tells her trying to calm her down.
Viv glances down at her clothes, removes her blazer and grabs Katie's leather jacket. She turns to Jill and raises an eyebrow. "Where is she?" She repeats.
"The room right above us, bu.."
Viv jogs out of the room not even listening to Jill trying to calm her down once again and sprints up the stairs taking three at a time after grabbing the tiny box placed on the dresser beside the door, she enters the floor above her own immediately locking eyes with Steph as she walks out of the room with a sad frown and stops in front of her noticing her eyes widen in surprise. "What's going on?" She asks softly.
"Beth booked the same hairdresser that did her mum's hair during her wedding." Steph breathes not about to try and reassure Viv after seeing the worry in her eyes. "She complimented Beth, comparing her to her mum which hit an already emotional Beffy a bit too hard."
"Is she dressed?" Viv bites her lip as Steph nods her head and sighs. "Can you cover her up with something?"
"Be right back." She nods her head watching Steph walk back into the room and tap her foot against the carpet, she looks up as she hears the door open again, cracking a small smile as Jen, Leah, Steph and Kim walk out of the room and walk in after Steph just nodded her head.
She walks inside, her eyes immediately landing on Beth standing in front of the big windows overlooking the beautiful backyard set up for them and walks over. "Vivi?" Beth croaks out right after she feels strong arms wrap around her waist from behind, she twirls around as Viv just hums softly and throws her arms around her shoulders.
"I'm here," Viv whispers softly as she hugs her tightly, she kisses her temple as she just sniffles softly and rubs her back over the morning robe Steph made Beth throw over. "What happened?"
"Just Jordy hitting me in the feels." Beth croaks out. "She immediately recognized what I am wearing even though I changed it quite a bit and told me mum looked just as gorgeous."
"I can only imagine how that made you feel," Viv murmurs sadly. "But Jordy is right though, your mum will be looking down at you with that brilliant proud grin as soon as you walk down the aisle baby."
She slowly pulls back, cupping Beth's cheeks to wipe the tears away and lovingly kisses her forehead. "I know we are about to walk down the aisle, but I have something for you." She whispers. "I would have given it your pops, but now I can do it in person." She holds out a box as Beth frowns in confusion and smiles nervously as she takes it with an eyebrow raised.
"Vivianne." Beth choked out right after she opened the box, her eyes immediately landing on a picture of her mum and a metal plate with text.
