The Unbroken But Impure

CHAPTER 13 DARK DAY

At Mae's house.....

Mae and her mother were currently experimenting with the new dish when Jenny came running from outside.

"Your restaurant is on fire Mae! Come quickly!" Jenny said panicking.

Mae and her mother were shocked to hear Jenny. They immediately left their house and ran towards their restaurant. When they got there, they saw that the restaurant was on fire.

"Dad! Please come out!" Mae and her mother were crying because of the fear and despair of what they saw.

The police and the firemen did not allow them to come near because the fire was so big and they could get hurt if they came near. Mae and her mother could do nothing but watch the fire destroy the restaurant. When the fire was extinguished, the firemen took out the five charred bodies.

Mae screams while her mother faints when it is confirmed that one of the bodies is Mae's father while the other is Bruce's.

"Dad! Dad!" Mae screamed frantically.

"Bruce! Bruce! My son! Bruce is gone!" Bruce's mother cried hysterically.

Lots of cries can be heard in the area of ​​the fire accident. Everyone knows that Mr. Karding is a good person, so they are very angry that drug pushers are the ones responsible for the tragedy.

"Dad! Don't leave us! Papa! Mom! Dad is gone!" Mae heard the cry of another friend.

The other two who died were members of the syndicate while the other was the father of Jenny's friend. The police caught the three members of the syndicate who started the fire.

After a while the fire was put out and only the walls and pillars were left in Mae's restaurant. One by one, the bodies were loaded into the funeral home's ambulance.

Their relatives took Mae's mother to the hospital for treatment. Mae was left with her friend Jenny and other friends to accompany her to the funeral home.

After taking care of her father's body, the police took them to the station for investigation. At the station, Mae learned that one of the drug pushers had thrown an IED and caught fire.

"They are animals! They are the scourge of society! They should die!" Mae was very angry while crying when she found out what happened.

Jenny and other friends continue to comfort Mae. They felt sorry for what happened to their beautiful friend. It was late at night when Mae's father's body was put in the casket, so Mae decided to visit her mother at the hospital.

When she arrived at the hospital, she found out that her mother was in the ICU because she had a heart attack. Mae was unaware that her mother had heart disease.

"Mae, be strong. All of these will pass through." One of Mae's aunts said.

Mae cried for what happened to them that day. Her father died in a fire and her mother suffered a heart attack. Their restaurant is consumed by fire. Apart from that, her parents are still paying their house through bank loan.

The livelihood of Mae's relatives are also not good because they are just ordinary workers, so Mae's problem now is how she and her mother are going to survive this tragedy.

The night passed with Mae severely in despair and not knowing what to do.

The next day.......

"Sister Brianna!" Mae cried when she saw her friend visiting her.

"Mae! We both lost our loved ones!" Brianna said as she cried.

"Sister Brianna, I don't know what to do! My family and I can no longer earn money! We lost our restaurant! I don't know what to do!" Mae continued to cry.
