The officers insisted on walking Mae back toward the terminal, but somewhere between the crowded market stalls and the quieter side streets, the tall one whose name she learned was Adrian paused.
"It's getting late," Adrian said. "The next bus to Dagupan might be delayed. You could end up stranded halfway."
The second, Mark, crossed his arms. "You don't look like the type who'd be safe alone in a terminal at night."
Mae hesitated. "I've travelled alone before."
The third, Luis, gave her a half-smile. "Not after almost getting killed an hour ago. Look our place is just a few blocks away. Stay the night, we'll make sure you get the earliest bus tomorrow."
Mae's instinct flickered between caution and curiosity. The way they stood there three men in uniform, their eyes on her, each with a different shade of expression made her pulse quicken.
She could still hear Liza's teasing voice from earlier: "Break it little by little... so it won't hurt as much."
Her lips curved in a faint smile. "Alright... but just for the night."
The apartment was modest but neat two bedrooms, a small living area, the faint scent of brewed coffee lingering in the air. Adrian tossed his cap on the couch, Mark locked the door, and Luis set a kettle on the stove.
"You must be hungry," Luis said.
"A little," Mae replied, placing her bag on the sofa.
They ate a simple meal nothing fancy, just fried rice and eggs but the atmosphere felt different. The way Adrian's eyes lingered a second too long when she spoke. The way Mark's smile was just a little crooked, as though he knew more than he let on. The way Luis leaned closer when he passed her a glass of water.
After dinner, they settled into the living room. Adrian dimmed the lights, the shadows stretching along the walls.
Mae exhaled slowly, her mind replaying last night in the hotel Russell's voice, JC's teasing, Christian's quiet intensity. Now here she was, again in a room with three men whose presence made her feel both protected and... something else.
'Little-by-little' Liza's voice lingered in her ears. She felt warm between her legs.
Adrian spoke next, his voice low. "You said earlier you didn't know how to repay us. Maybe repayment isn't about money. Maybe it's about... trust."
"Trust?" she echoed.
He grinned. "Letting us....in."
Mae met his gaze, feeling the air thicken between them. "I think I can do that," she said softly.
"I mean, letting us in...inside of you." Mark grinned.
Mae blushed. She got his message. She twitched. She felt a sudden gush of wetness between her legs.
The effect of PleasureX still lingers in her bloodstreams.
She touched her own cheek, flushed from more than just the warm air. She knew she was standing at the edge of something again a step she'd already begun taking last night. Her heart was pounding. Liza's voice played in her head again, almost like a taunt. 'Little by little.'
"I.....I'm still a virgin. I knew you saved my life but I don't want to lose my virginity. Please....." Mae said shyly.
"Then you won't. Just let us enjoy the night with you. We won't take your virginity." Luis said.
Mae didn't say a word. She feels very aroused now. She didn't know exactly where the night would end, but she knew one thing: Liza's advice was no longer just advice. It was something she was living, step by step... little by little.
