"Kitchie! Hello? Are you there? You're just standing there, stunned! My boyfriend's handsome, isn't he?" Karla said proudly.

It took Kitchie several seconds to respond.

"That's why I froze! I thought he was Brandon Routh!" Kitchie joked, recovering from her surprise.

"You're funny, Kitchie!" Marco laughed.

"Hey! Get used to her! Isn't my friend a beauty too?" Karla said proudly.

"Of course! When I first saw her, I thought she was a supermodel," Marco said with a smile.

"Excuse me! Karla and I actually worked as models back in college!" Kitchie answered proudly.

"Yeah sweetheart. We modelled in Vague magazine in college." Karla said.

"Have we met before? Your face seems familiar. I just can't remember where I saw you," Marco said.

In Kitchie's mind: 'Why can't you remember me? Wasn't I part of your past?'

"Didn't I tell you she looks like the GMA-CBN actress Tanya Lopez? That's probably why you think she looks familiar," Karla explained.

"Yes, exactly! You really do look like Tanya Lopez!" Marco said with a laugh.

"And your girlfriend look like Marian Evangelista!" Kitchie said.

Karla flinched. She once acted as double in an adult movie with two men to make a scandal video of the actress. Fortunately, it didn't come out.

"Let's go, Kitchie! Let's have lunch first, I know you must be hungry," Karla said, and the three of them got into the rented taxi headed to the restaurant.

When they arrived, Karla and Kitchie sat at a table while Marco went to the bathroom.

"Karla, does your boyfriend have an older brother? If he does, introduce me!" Kitchie joked.

"He's an only child. Wait, oh my gosh! Is my boyfriend your type? Hey Kitchie, remember, it's finders keepers!" Karla teased.

"I'm just kidding! But honestly, I feel like I could get along with your fiancé really well. He seems like a good guy, smart, talented, and clearly in love with you," Kitchie said with a smile.

"You're right! He's the type of guy every woman dreams of," Karla said proudly.

As they looked through the menu, the TV in the restaurant aired breaking news.

"Until now, police are still at a loss about the identity of the so-called Black Widow. It's suspected that a man named Brad Prieto was her latest victim. However, investigators have not ruled out the possibility that someone else killed him. Brad Prieto had no connection with the men murdered by Black Widow more than a year ago..."

Karla froze when she heard the name. She would never forget Brad Prieto, he was her first customer at Love Nest, the one her lips had 'served' twice. Secretly, she searched for the victim's pictures on Google using her phone, and confirmed it was him.

She breathed a sigh of relief knowing Brad was dead. No one else besides Mateo, Mrs. Nancy, and Don Pablo knew her secret. For now, it was safe.

"The Black Widow news never ends! Before I left the country, she was all over the headlines. Now that I'm back, she's still the talk of the town," Kitchie said, shaking her head.

"What's your plan exactly?" Karla asked.

"I actually applied online for a job at your company so we can work together! I already had my interview last week, and I have my final interview the day after tomorrow. I told my uncle I want to start from the grassroots. I want to do things on my own and not just depend on him," Kitchie said.
