The next day.....
"Big brother, John and I will go with you when you climbed Mount Banahaw! I haven't been able to go up there for a long time." John's friend Harold told his older brother Wilbert on the phone.
"Oh okay. But you can't go with my group because the mayor is with me. Yvette would like also to go with you so just tell John to take care of our younger sister! I'll punch him if he will refuse" Wilbert said jokingly.
"Alright! OK Brother! See you on Saturday!" Harold said happily and hung up the phone.
"So what? What did brother Wilbert say?" John asked.
"Of course we're going, but he said that you take care of our younger sister Yvette! Besides, we can't go with them because the mayor and his companions are with him!" Harold said.
"With Yvette? It might take us a night to walk!" John joked.
"I wonder why you don't like my sister. She's so gorgeous man! I wish I could call you brother-in-law!" Harold smiled.
"You know that we treat each other like siblings, so Yvette is like my sister too." John answered seriously.
"My brother told me that they have a big operation next month so he wants to go to Mother Apolonia to ask for guidance. That old woman has a third eye so she can read a person's personality and destiny." Harold said.
"Let's go to that old woman also!" John replied excitedly.
Saturday came......
"Mother Apolonia, mayor Mateo is with me and he would like you to read his fate!" Wilbert said politely.
Mother Apolonia looked at Mateo and took his hand. The old woman looked at Mateo's palm for a few seconds and frowned.
"You are a good person and helpful. However, your life is so sad but eventually one day you will be free from all of your sufferings. You will be an instrument of justice in the future." Mother Apolonia said simply.
Then it was Wilbert turn to ask Mother Apolonia about his fate. She frowned again.
"You have a dedication to service and a responsible person. There will be trials in your family, but you will also be an instrument of justice." Mother Apolonia said seriously.
Wilbert smiled. Although Mother Apolonia's words were figurative, Wilbert was happy because he would be a tool of justice.
"Can I?" Mae asked worriedly.
Mother Apolonia took Mae's hand and looked at it. She frowned and soon her eyes widened. She seemed to be afraid of Mae's palm.
"Why?" Mae asked in surprise.
It took a long time before the old woman answered.
"Young lady, I have a hard time looking at your palm so I can't tell about your fate. Come back here after you bathe in the spring of Santa Lucia so I can clearly read your fate." The old woman said tremblingly.
"Is that so? All right, we'll just go back later." Mae said with a smile.
"Thank you Mother Apolonia. We're now going and we'll be back tomorrow!" Wilbert said.
Then Mae and her companions walked away from the old woman's house to go to the hiking grounds. When they were far enough, a woman approached Mother Apolonia.
"Why do you seem afraid of that woman's palm?" The woman asked in surprise.
The old woman sighed and shook her head.
"She is a good woman but her life is full of trials. It horrified me when I saw that her beauty was deadly! Her beauty brings death to any men who desire her! Some men have already paid with their lives because of her! She will find true love with her future husband but they will go through more severe trials than what she went through. Her hands will have blood on it because of her love! But when she overcomes those trials, peace, true happiness and prosperity will be her rewards!" Mother Apolonia said seriously.
Meanwhile......
"Big brother, shall we go to Mother Apolonia first before we go up the mountain?" Yvette asked her brother Harold.
"Of course! I also want to ask him for guidance so I know what to do in the future." Harold replied.
"Is she the old woman with the third eye?" John asked.
"Yes. She has the ability to read a person's character and destiny. She was never wrong with her predictions!" Harold replied.
"I want to know what my destiny in love!" Yvette said excitedly.
"You should not ask Mother Apolonia about that but John instead!" Harold joked.
"Asshole!" John laughed as Yvette's face turned red.
Yvette has had a crush on John for a long time since high school but John only considers Yvette his younger sister. It was Yvette who confessed to John but John's love for the girl is just like for siblings.
Yvette is beautiful and gorgeous. She can be compared with Mae, Michelle and Kryzel. It's just that, John's heart cannot be taught.
A few minutes later, they reached Mother Apolonia's house.
"Mother Apolonia! How are you? I'm with Yvette and our friend John!" Harold said politely.
"Oh Harold! It's been a long time! Would you like me to read your palm? I haven't read your fate yet." Mother Apolonia said with a smile.
"Yes! Is it possible?" Harold asked happily.
"Give me your palm." Mother Apolonia took Harold's hand and looked at it.
Mother Apolonia frowned again. She doesn't seem to like what she saw.
"Harold, come back here after you bathe from Santa Lucia. I'm having trouble reading your palm." Mother Apolonia said.
"It's my turn now!" Yvette said excitedly.
Mother Apolonia immediately took Yvette's hand and immediately looked at it. After a while she spoke.
"You will experience great trials but that will give you a way to be brave and succeed in life. You will be an instrument of justice in the future." Mother Apolonia said mysteriously. But she didn't elaborate more. She seemed to worry about what she saw in Yvette's palm.
"Wow! I can overcome trials!" Yvette said with a smile.
"Can I too?" John asked.
The old woman didn't answer but he took John's hand and looked at it. Just like his reaction to Mae, the old woman's eyes widened when she saw John's palm. She seemed to be horrified on John's fate.
"Take a bath in Santa Lucia too and come back here afterwards so I can read your destiny." Mother Apolonia said seriously.
John was a little disappointed but there was nothing he could do. After a while, the three bid their farewells and went up to the mountain. Again the woman approached Mother Apolonia and asked after John left.
"Did you see something that made you feel troubled? It is the first time I saw you like this" The woman asked worriedly.
"The fate of the three siblings is terrible. Only the woman will survive. The fates of the people I saw just now and the three others that previously came are all intertwined." Mother Apolonia responded seriously.
"How about that handsome young man? Why do you look horrified?" The woman asked curiously.
Mother Apolonia was silent for a moment. It seemed she's gathering her courage to tell to the woman what she read.
"Just now I saw an intertwined fate. That handsome man is a smart and a good person but he will be the cause of great tragedy for all of them! That girl's hands will be stained with blood because of that man! A lot will die of horrible death because of her!" Mother Apolonia said trembling.
