"It looks terrible when a person is burned alive!" Kryztal said while watching the news about the fire that killed Mae's father

Michelle continued to fix her eyebrows as if she hadn't heard anything.

"It turns out that addicts are the cause of that fire! Saturno Drug syndicate is the name of that drug syndicate. Why is it that they chose drugs out of so many vices?" Kryztal asked wondering.

Michelle suddenly stopped fixing herself and almost injured herself when she heard the name Saturno Drug syndicate. That name is very familiar to her and she doesn't want to hear news about it. And she especially didn't want Kryztal and Kryzel to hear anything about that group.

"By the way, did you and John meet again?" Michelle asked Kryztal so they could talk about something else.

"Hmmm....yes. I went to his gig the other night and he said that he and Kryzel had already met." Kryztal's answer was simple.

"What! Kryzel met with John? Does your father know this?" Michelle said worriedly.

"Of course not!" Papa won't let Kryzel go out without you. Don't worry, Kryzel made it home safely." Kryztal replied.

"Just let me know what you're doing next time!" Michelle said worriedly.

"Yes ma'am!" Kryztal teased.

Meanwhile at the hospital....

"Mrs. Nancy, I'm Brianna's friend. She said that you can let me work into the restaurant where you work." Mae said politely.

"Oh yes. Brianna told me that you need a job because of what happened to your family. My condolences to you Mae. The restaurant I work at is here in Dagupan City and you can start after your father is buried." Mrs. Nancy answered.

"Thank you very much Mrs. Nancy. Dad will be buried this week so I can start right away." Mae said.

"Alright Mae, I'll wait for you here!" Mrs. Nancy said and hung up the phone.

Mae returned to her mother's bed. Angioplasty was performed instead of a bypass operation so she's now ok. Her mother was sleeping at that time and Mae couldn't stop crying while staring at her mother.

Mae suddenly got surprised to hear a flash report on TV.

"A body of a man was found in a remote area in Bulacan where the police discovered that he died of a severe infection caused by a severed tongue. The man also had a wound in his eye, so the police suspect that he did not leave the house immediately because of his blindness." The news said.

"Good for you!" Mae said to herself.

Mae breathed a sigh of relief now that her mother was safe. What she needs to do now is to work to pay off the house in the bank. Mae is fully aware that she needs to finish her studies so as not to be miserable in the future.

Three days passed........

Mae's father was buried. Mae's mother could not attend the funeral because of her condition. Those who attended the funeral expressed their condolences and some offered financial assistance to Mae. After the funeral, Mae went home to organize her things.

Mae was in tears as she put away her things for work. The restaurant that she will work for is in Dagupan City so she will only come home every weekend. It is the first time that she will be separated from her mother, which is why she feels sad. It was already afternoon when she returned to the hospital.

"Mom, don't cry anymore. We have to be strong now. Dad's funeral went well. The addicts who set fire to our restaurant are now in jail, so don't be sad. I got a job in Dagupan City." Mae's greeting to her mother.
