CHAPTER 17 ANOTHER DAY AT WORK

The next day, Saturday ......

Mae woke up late in the morning so she kept apologizing to the restaurant manager. After talking to the manager, she returned to work.

The day ended with Mae being very busy. She was supposed to go home to Bulacan that afternoon but she decided to go home next week to rest so she and her mother just talked on the cell phone.

When she's about to leave the restaurant, Mrs. Nancy called her.

"Aren't you going home now?" Mrs. Nancy asked.

"Not today Mrs. Nancy. I want to get some sleep tonight. I didn't sleep well last night." Mae said sadly.

Mrs. Nancy understands Mae because Mae left the bar at dawn this morning. Every time Mae goes in and out of the bar, she wears big eyeglasses and ties her hair to make her look different so no one recognizes her.

"Do you want to act as an extra for the movie tomorrow afternoon? There will be a movie shooting at the restaurant tomorrow and they need extras." Mrs. Nancy explained.

Mae's face lit up when she heard about the shooting.

"Yes!" Mae answered without hesitation.

Mae's dream is to be an actress so she was very happy when Mrs. Nancy offered her to act in the movie. Even if the talent fee is small, she will accept it, after all, she will enjoy it nevertheless.

"Ok, we'll wait for you tomorrow!" Mrs. Nancy said.

After Mae returned to the dormitory, her tears fell when she remembered what she did last night. Mae earned more than three times last night when she served Brad with her lips. She even got a huge bonus when her lips didn't leave even a drop.

Fortunately, the man is quite handsome, so she somehow felt at ease with her work last night. She told him upon entering that she's still a virgin and Brad just wants her to accompany him to his table. Later, he offered her an amount she couldn't refuse. She needed money so she let her lips work that night.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Anne arrived.

"Mae, we were not able to talk last night. You were crying when you came home last night. Did you use your lips"? Anne asked.

Mae just nodded in response.

"At least you're still a virgin!" Anne said and lay down on the bed.

The next day, the shooting of the movie started. Mae enjoyed the shooting and temporarily forgot about her worries. She earned quite a handsome talent fee. It was around afternoon when the movie shoot was finished when a talent scout approached her.

"Miss, do you want to act as an extra in the next few days." The talent scout asked Mae

"Yes!" Mae answered immediately.

"Good! Here. Call me after a week so I can tell you about the movie." The talent scout said with a smile.

Mae is very happy because the talent scout noticed her. In her mind, her dream of becoming a movie actress might come true.

The next day, Monday....

Michelle went to John's school to borrow a book from the library so she already brought a book with her as a prop if she and John met. She was walking near John's building when someone greeted her.

"Michelle! We meet again!" John greeted her with a smile.

"Hey John, it's you!" Michelle is very happy because she saw her love again.
