Hanuel was hunched over the table, looking at something his assistant was showing to him on a tab. His blonde hair made him stand out, especially in professional settings, but it was his signature look.
He'd been known for his blonde hair look since before his father became the President six years ago. Now in the second term of being the First Son of Korea, his long, luscious hair that tumbled in fine waves over his shoulder still look healthier than ever. Jungkook had expected them to have started falling out in massive chunks because definitely, all that chemical wasn't healthy, but he was certainly wrong.
Chen and Liam stood at the top of the steps leading to the backyard, where the large pool was located. It was three times the size of a regular pool, with a large golden crown emblem carved into the tiles of the pool floor.
The wind tousled Jungkook's hair in the air, sending his open shirt bellowing behind him. It was really beautiful and serene here. The environment wasn't so similar but the serenity reminded him of The Maldives.
Hanuel looked up briefly and snapped his head down, before turning to him again sharply, recognizing the person walking towards him. A big bright smile broke on his thin lips, giving his chiseled face a softer look.
"JUNKIE!" Hanuel hyped up, standing to his feet and jogging over to throw his arms over Jungkook's neck, pulling him flush against his body. One of his hand pressed against Jungkook's head, tugging at his hairs.
The problem with Hanuel was he didn't understand the concept of boundaries. To Jungkook, they weren't that close to be hugging each other so fondly. He'd met Hanuel only twice before. The first time being a conference he'd gone to with his father in Washington, where they'd been introduced.
The second time was at Hanuel's 16th birthday party a few months ago, which had been a disaster and Jungkook had practically walked out of it. During the course of dinner, Hanuel had leaned in and asked in a whisper. "Want to go up to my room?" He'd asked, his fingers subtly grazing Jungkook's thighs.
And, even though he'd apologised the next day with a bouquet of flowers and a note—which Jungkook had tossed into a bin—it didn't mean he wasn't still cautious around him.
"Hey," Jungkook said, awkwardly. "What's up?" he asked, placing his hand on Hanuel's shoulders and slightly pushing him off.
Hanuel smiled, stepping back a few inches. "Nothing. It's so good to see your pretty face again," Hanuel said, his eyes skimming up and down Jungkook's frame.
For someone who was younger than him, Hanuel freaked Jungkook out. He always stared at Jungkook like he was dinner and his hands wandered occasionally, which was why Jungkook intended to keep as much space between them as possible so as not to do something that might become national news.
"Yeah. Same. How have you been?" Jungkook asked, as Hanuel made a hand gesture, dismissing his assistant who gathered his property in his hands and made his way out without a word.
