Jungkook chased after Jin down the halls. The place was empty, and their footsteps echoed loudly. Jin's steps were heavier and hurried. He couldn't get out of the villa fast enough. He couldn't find Hanuel fast enough. He wanted to pummel him until he was nothing but a pile of human patty.
"Jin, wait!" Jungkook called after him. "Listen to me!"
"Go back to your suite, Jungkook," Jin said, not bothering to stop his movements. His legs carried him continuously, his destination mapped out in his head.
He didn't care that Hanuel was surrounded by bodyguards. He would make sure he damaged his face first before any of them even had the chance to do anything.
But Jungkook was in front of him, holding out his hand to Jin's chest, halting his movement. "What the hell do you think you're about to do?!"
Hanuel had made a big ass mistake harassing someone he didn't have any business harassing. "I just need air," he lied, heading towards the door.
"No!" Jungkook snapped, grabbing his wrists, so he wouldn't manoeuvre past him and proceed with his intentions. "There's plenty of air here."
Jin shook his head, hot air coming out of his nostrils. There was no point lying again. "I have to teach him a lesson." Break his wandering fingers. Split his fucking mouth into four.
"Do you have any idea who that is? He's not one of our schoolmates. That is the President's son!"
He gestured to himself. "Does this face look like it gives a shit?"
Jungkook didn't let go of him. His hand stayed wrapped around Jin's wrist. But even the anger Jin felt at that moment didn't stop him from noticing what that touch was doing to him.
Jungkook let out a sigh. He looked away towards the garden for a brief moment before returning his gaze to Jin. "I give a shit."
Jin didn't take his eyes away from Jungkook. If he did, he would definitely do what he had in mind. But looking at Jungkook's face put a sort of leash on him.
"If it were a different person in a different place, I swear I would not get in your way. But this is a suicide mission. His security team will gun you down in an instant. Jin, it is shoot first and ask questions after. I know you're angry. I can see it. I can feel it. But this is not the place to unleash it."
The look in Jungkook's eyes was sincere. It reminded him of that night when Jungkook had taken care of him, worried for him, and treated him well. Seeing him worry for him again, it felt like stepping into an air-conditioned cafe in a hot afternoon.
It calmed his anger, and his shoulders slumped in resolve. "Jungkook..."
"No." Jungkook shook his head. "Let it go. Do you understand me?" Jungkook asked.
