"He's been out there all day. I tried to get him to leave but he wouldn't budge. He wouldn't even take a glass of water to drink," Namjoon said.

"Again?" Hoseok asked. He checked the time on his wristwatch. "It's past 10."

Namjoon nodded. "Liam, that guard who follows him, has begged him but he wouldn't talk to him. I even begged him. I promised to talk to Jin but he said he wouldn't leave until he speaks to Jin himself."

"And what is the big head saying about all of these?"

"The big head is in his room, in the exact position he was in when you went to work this morning He's just lying in his bed and crying."

"Has he eaten anything?" Namjoon shook his head. "Nothing at all today?" Again, Namjoon shook his head.

For 3 days now, Hoseok had come back from work to meet the same scene – Jungkook at the door, squatting at the side with his face buried on his knees, waiting for Jin to come out; Jin in his room, not eating or speaking to any of them; Namjoon helplessly trying but failing to help both boys.

It was painful to see. He was finding it hard to believe that these were the same 2 boys that had been attached at the hip at his birthday party a few weeks ago. The same boys that had eloped together barely days ago. He would never have believed if anyone had told him they would be so close to each other yet so far away.

"Did you read the book?" Namjoon asked, handing Hoseok a glass of water.

"Thanks," Hoseok accepted it and drank the whole content before placing it on the table. He nodded. "I did."

"How bad is it?"

"Bad," Hoseok answered.

When he'd come home from work 3 days ago and found out Jin had broken up with Jungkook, he'd confronted Jin about it. Jin had ignored him for most of the time but then pointed at a book that was lying a few feet away on the floor. "He wrote that," Jin had said hoarsely before turning away.

He hadn't understood why Jungkook writing a book could upset Jin so much until he began to read it and started to piece it all together. Jungkook had taken information about Jin's life, his family, and their deaths and wrote a book about it. It had been heartbreaking to read, so Hoseok could understand what Jin must have gone through reading it.

He wouldn't lie, Jungkook had been wrong for doing it. There was an extent to one's fuck ups and Jungkook had exceeded that limit. It was worse that he had done this to someone who'd placed his happiness before their own.

But Hoseok couldn't help feeling sorry for Jungkook. He knew Jungkook had done the worse but even Hoseok couldn't deny the extent of love Jungkook had for Jin.

He'd written the book a year and half ago, when he and Jin hadn't been the most cordial. He'd been a 15 year old kid, unhappy with his life and being forced to be chauffeured around by someone who irritated him as much as he irritated the person. But even at that, Hoseok didn't believe Jungkook had done it to be spiteful to Jin but because he'd been bored or dealing with some fucked up stuff of his own.

Hoseok didn't want to justify Jungkook's actions. But he didn't know why he was already doing it. A month ago, he'd have been pleased to have the relationship end because he'd known the risk that it came with. But the worse had already happened and they'd both come out of it still very in love.

So, it was a shame that the very thing breaking them up and throwing them into such pitiful and pathetic state was a mistake Jungkook had done almost 2 years ago.

"So, he's right for being this way towards Jungkook?" Namjoon asked, sadly.

"He's right," Hoseok answered. "But Jin's never the type to do something just because it's logically right. I can't let them both continue like this."

"What will you do?"

"Talk to Jin, I guess," He said, standing to his feet and heading for Jin's room.

Hoseok pushed the door to Jin's room open, filling the place with light. Jin stirred on his bed, turned to look at Hoseok before turning away. "I see heartbreak has made you to lose your manners, " Hoseok said, stepping into the room.

"Can you leave? I'm tired. I want to sleep."

"Tired? From working a 12 hours shift at the construction site, I see," he teased, but Jin said nothing. "I heard you haven't eaten today, why's that?"

"I'm not hungry," he said, sniffing. He looked so miserable curled up in that bed. It reminded Hoseok of when Ryujin had died. It had taken a big toll on Jin and Hoseok was afraid of something like that happening again.

If he let this go on, if he allowed Jin do what he wanted, Jin might end up worse than before.

He sat on the edge of the bed in front of Jin and buried his hand in Jin's hair. "You know, you can't continue like this. I understand that you're hurting but if you keep nursing it, you're going to hurt even more."

"Isn't this what you wanted?"

"I wanted you to be safe but happy. Not miserable and shattered."

Jin swallowed. His eyes were red and puffy. "Is he still out there?"

"Yes, you should go see him. He's been begging to see you."

"He's going to get sick."

"I don't think he cares about that, Jin."

"You have to force him to leave," he pleaded quietly. "He's going to catch a cold."

"Despite what he did, you're still so worried about him."

A sob escaped Jin's throat. His eyes pooled and tears rolled down his face. "Do you know how much I hate it?" He asked, his words shaky. "Do you know how much I hate that I love him so much? Even after he hurt me, a part of me feels guilty for breaking his heart. I feel guilty for making him hurt, for making him stand out there for hours every day."

"It's okay to feel that way."

"The thing is, I know he's sorry, hyung. I know he regrets it. I know he would do anything that I ask him to do just make it right, but I don't know if I could ever forgive him. I don't know how to. I want him to stop hurting but I'm afraid if I see him, I'll say something that would make him hurt more."

"Is that why you've refused to see him? You're afraid your words will hurt him."

Jin nodded. "He came to tell me that we finally have his father's blessings but it was already over."

Hoseok pulled him up and hugged him tight. "Oh, Jin," he said, massaging Jin's scalp. "It'll be fine. You'll be fine."

"I don't know if I'll ever be fine, hyung. I miss him so much."

But Hoseok knew Jin would be fine. He was angry now. He was hurting and confused, but he was still so much in love with Jungkook. His heart still belonged to Jungkook.

He knew Jin. Jin would always find a way to get what he wanted, even though now he was being a little stubborn to himself. Jin was going to be just fine.
