"I don't even like him like that," Jimin said grudgingly, ruffling his hair in frustration.

Jin only nodded his head next to Jimin, his hands slipped into the deep pockets of his baggy jeans, enjoying the Sunday evening breeze. He had a few more hours until he returned to the Jeon mansion to report for duty, until then he needed this walk Jimin had brought him out on to clear his head.

"It was just a brief moment of attraction, you see. He was sitting right there at the front row and the light hit him so good and I almost tripped walking down the runaway looking at him. What was he even doing there? Those seats are reserved for VVIPs, not D-list influencers. Do you think Jungkook hooked him up with it? Because he couldn't possibly have gotten an invite on his own."

Jin chuckled. "I don't know. Maybe."

"Taehyung can't find out about this."

"You two are dating, huh?" Jin said.

Jimin exhaled loudly. "Truthfully, I don't know what we are. We hookup, and while it's fun, that's just all it is for me. Fun. But I can't help but feel it's more for him. There's a way he looks at me, with really intense gaze that makes me believe he might be in love with me."

Jin's brows furrowed. He huffed out air from his mouth and shook his head. "In love? That's serious."

"I don't know. I might be reading too much into it. I hope I am, because the last thing I want is to hurt him. He's my best friend and I love him, it's just not..." Jimin trailed on, struggling with his words and emotions.

"Not just in love," Jin said, helping him find his words which Jimin nodded to.

"Exactly."

Jin understood Jimin just fine but he couldn't process the words completely, because somehow it didn't make sense to him. Best friends hooking up couldn't just be based on physical attraction. Strangers doing it, was a different thing. "Jims, if you don't have emotional feelings for Taehyung, why are you sleeping with him?"

"I don't know. It just happened, and now, I'm too scared of hurting him to end it."

"He's going to end up hurt whether you do it now or later," Jin said, shrugging. "Just figure yourselves out before you both ruin your friendship. FYI, I'm not taking sides if it happens."

Jimin groaned loudly. "Why is my life such a mess?"

You and me both, buddy, Jin thought, but kept his words to himself.

"And why did I sleep with that brat's friend?" He cried dramatically.

Jin felt a sudden surge of protectiveness overcome him. His jaws tensed. "Can we address that?" He spoke, glaring straight ahead. "You need to stop thrash talking Jungkook."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the thrash talking, Jimin," Jin said, turning to face Jimin, who stopped walking as well. He looked confused, so Jin helped make things clear. "Calling him a brat. Saying he's annoying, spoiled and stuff like that. The worst is threatening to slap or hit him. He's not as bad as you and Taehyung think."
