So I've decided that in honor of the Thundermans movie coming out on March 7th, (and in hopes of getting another series since there have been rumors), I'm writing another oneshot. As always, there are the same disclaimers, one, I don't own the characters and two, no Thundercest, that's honestly horrible. Anyway, this has a little bit of a time skip here and there, so I don't really know when to say it was set. Anyway, enjoy!

Phoebe Thunderman would not say she was a difficult person to get along with. In fact, she would say she was rather easy to be around, though her twin brother, Max, would probably disagree with her.

So why she'd truly struggled to maintain a boyfriend for so long was really beyond her. She didn't know what she'd done to make it so hard to date her, but her first boyfriend, Cole Campbell, only dated her for a few weeks before just ghosting her. She'd had many crushes but each one either rejected her or only lasted a week or two before they broke up.

Then she'd met Link, the son of Evilman, but a truly wonderful person. They dated for a year and a half, and Phoebe had honestly considered him like a second half to her whole. Or at least something similar.

But then he gets into being a hero and the Hero League, the damn Hero League that had been such an important part of Phoebe's life for so long, sends him to Hong Kong.

They part as friends, yes, and agree to talk often. But Phoebe can't help the way it feels as if a part of her heart had been ripped out of her chest. That's how she finds herself sobbing in the bathroom, as quietly as she can, late at night after she returns home from her break up.

A sharp knock of the door makes her jump, and stifle a harsh sob that threatened to escape her throat.

"Phoebe, are you in here?" Max calls. "I can see the light on. Come on, Mom and Dad told us to go to bed over an hour ago. I thought you were the well behaved one."

Phoebe turns the sink on to make it seem like she was doing something. "I'll be out in a second, Max, just go to bed."

The tone is too harsh and rough. It makes Phoebe wince and see that she has given herself away already.

"Pheebs, are you crying?" Max sounds incredulous.

"No, just...Go away, Max!" Phoebe snaps.

The hallway goes silent and Phoebe assumes he's gone to bed. She didn't think he'd stay anyway, why would he care if she was crying? He was a self proclaimed villain, after all.

Phoebe exhales softly and lets herself slump limply to the ground beside the sink, using her telekinesis to turn off the water. She holds back a harsh sob, but quickly decides that it does not matter, nobody is there to listen, and lets herself release the next cry that bubbles up to the surface. It burns her throat, the intensity of the cry.

Why could she not be happy? Only a few months ago, she'd risked her relationship for her job as a hero, and she'd been rewarded, not only by the Hero League but by Link. He'd kissed her and taken her out on a date the following day, promising he'd never leave her. But then he did.

He left for Hong Kong. Yes, he was pursuing his own dream, and yes, Phoebe should be happy for him, should support him like he'd always done for her. But he'd taken her heart with him when he'd left this morning.

It wasn't supposed to be like this. Was it?

Phoebe is startled out of her thoughts when the door unlocks itself and then opens. Tears streaming down her face, she glances up to see Max standing in the door frame, an unreadable look on his face as he gazes back down at her. She can see the bobby-pin he'd taken from what was probably her room still in his hand, what he'd used to pick the lock. He could have used his telekinesis but Phoebe would have been able to shut him out again just as quickly. He'd outsmarted her this time.
