So I know I haven't updated here in a long time. Like I said, this story isn't getting many reads or suggestions so I don't have much to work with. But I've been feeling inspired to write this oneshot because of the Nickelodeon tv show The Thundermans. It's been playing in my house for a while and so here we are. This is set during Thunder In Paradise. Also there is no Thundercest, because siblings dating each other is absolutely disgusting to me (no offense to those who ship it). This is basically a rewrite of the scenes in Thunder in Paradise, because as much as I love that episode, I want to explore a stronger bond between the twins. As always, I don't own the characters, just the plot of the oneshot.
Max Thunderman didn't know why his younger siblings, Billy and Nora were giving up on Phoebe. His twin sister had never given up on him when he was evil. Max wasn't about to give up on Phoebe.
Besides it wasn't really her fault. Dark Mayhem's powers were pure evil and they had simply corrupted his sweet, heroic sister.
Max had to save his twin. Though he would never admit it, he loved her. He had to save Phoebe. This was his chance to make up for all the awful things he did to her. He had never been a very good brother. Phoebe had been a great sister and she deserves better than a formerly evil, now a light morally grey twin brother.
When Max had broken up with Allison, Phoebe had been there. When Phoebe had broken up with Link, Max had been nowhere to be found. When Phoebe had needed Max, he was either helping for his own gain or not helping at all. When Max needed Phoebe, she was there unconditionally.
Phoebe had saved Max from his evil. Now Max had to do the same for her. Why didn't Billy and Nora see that?
"Guys, come on. We have to help her."
"Max, she's evil. She's gone." Nora argued.
"Yeah! Evilbe is evil!" Billy added, getting weird looks from his siblings. "What? It'll catch on."
Max ignored his brother and turned back to the rock wall that Phoebe had created to stop them. He tried using his telekinesis but he couldn't move the boulders. Phoebe was always stronger than him. Hero or villain, she was always better.
Max felt tears burn his eyes. He couldn't leave Phoebe like this. That stupid robot would backstab her. She could die. And it would be his fault. The whole reason she even had Dark Mayhem's powers was because she had to clean up his mess like always. She hadn't trusted him to fix the problem at the awards. It had been his fault. He had to to fix it. He owned it to his sister.
"Max?" Nora asked, her voice suddenly soft. "Max, are you crying?"
"No!" Max wiped at the tears he felt falling down his face.
"Max...it isn't your fault." Billy said, his tone matching Nora's.
"Yes. Yes, it is. It's all my fault. Phoebe is in trouble and I have to save her. I owe it to her. At least to try. It's what she would do for me. For all of us." Max whispered.
His siblings nodded slowly. Nora turned to the boulders and started to laser it with her eyes. The rocks cracked a bit but didn't budge.
"We're trapped. We need help." Billy whined.
"From who?" Nora snapped.
The boulder wall exploded and in stepped Thunderman and Electress. Hank and Barb Thunderman had arrived to save their kids.
"Mom! Dad!" Nora cried happily.
"You came!" Billy yelled.
"Are you kids okay? What's this about Phoebe with Dark Mayhem's powers?" Barb asked worriedly.
