"James!" Lily was practically wailing.

"Yes, Evans?" James asked, particularly calm considering his distressed wife.

"Are you daft?! Can you not notice?! JAMES POTTER! The bloody baby is coming!" Lily shrieked.

James's eyes widened. "Really?"

"Yes really! Merlin's beard, you would think my bloody husband would believe me when I say my child is on the way." Lily groaned.

James stood up and dashed to her side.

"Lily, this means our little family will begin today!" James seemed overjoyed.

"Glad you're happy, Potter. Now get me to the damn hospital. Merlin." Lily rolled her eyes.

"Padfoot!" James hollered down the hall.

"What, Prongs?" Sirius Black's voice yelled back.

"The baby is coming."

Sirius dashed in. "It is?!"

"Yes, mate. The baby is on the way."

The two men seemed oddly overwhelmed.

"What do we need? Do we need a tooth brush?" James asked.

"You need your brush, Prongs. And Lily's. Wait, will the baby need one? And Moony? Oh! And Wormy?" Sirius yelped.

"I don't know!" James wailed.

"We need to call Moony and Wormtail! They can't miss it!" Sirius gasped.

Neither of the two men had noticed Lily had left the room to grab her hospital bag, nor had they noticed how she had already called Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.

"You two mind calming those two babies for me?" Lily asked when Remus and Peter arrived.

"Do we have to, Lily?" Peter asked, glancing at their friends.

"Yes."

When it was finally time to go, two more people had arrived. Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadows.

"Bought time you two showed." Remus huffed.

"Can't calm down Black and Potter, huh, Remus?"

"Don't mock me Marlene." Remus scowled.

"Marls, just yell at them." Dorcas suggested. "They'll shut their mouths then."

Marlene grinned and then yelled, very loudly, "Will you two shut up?!"

James and Sirius jumped.

"Was that needed, Marlene?" James whined.

Marlene rolled her eyes in response.

"Your wife is ready to go." Peter commented.

Lily, who was standing by the door way, nodded. The red head pointed at her stomach and then scowled at James as if to say, hurry up, the baby doesn't want to wait.

James hurriedly brought Lily over to the floo and the large group flooed to St. Mungo's Hospital.

It was an agonizing time for Lily Potter after that. James was mortified by the screams he heard come from Lily but it was worth it after when they met their son.

"Hello, baby boy." The Healer said, handing the small child to his mother.

"Hello, Harry James Potter." Lily whispered.

James looked at his son. The baby was similar to James. Harry had small tuffs of black hair, and tanned skin for a baby. But when Harry opened his eyes, they were a bright emerald green.

"He has his mother's eyes." James smirked.

"And his father's everything else." Lily giggled. "I can't wait to raise you baby boy. Who knows. Maybe I'll even make amends with my sister so you can have fun with your cousin one day."

"We'll love you forever, Harry. When the war is over, you'll be raised in the best world. Mummy and Daddy will let you see Uncle Moony and Padfoot and Wormy every day." James laughed.

"Not everyday. Those boys will spoil you rotten. But you can see Aunty Marlene and Dorcas just as often. And Mummy and Daddy will see you off to Hogwarts in only eleven short years. Harry, you'll be loved forever. I promise." Lily said.

Okay, that made me sad to write. I know none of that happened. That's why it's sad. But the next one won't be....I think. Happy reading, loves.
