A/n: So I decided against doing anymore Thundermans oneshots. I was terribly uninspired. I've had this idea spinning in my head for a while now, so I decided to write this instead. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. They are either Rick Riordan's characters or Greek myth ones. The characters may act differently than they would canonically, but that's why it's fanfiction!

TW: There is mention of S/A and mention of worse. The words are not outright said, but there is mention. Don't read if it triggers you.

Athena-grey-eyed goddess of wisdom, crafts, weaving, and strategic war- did not get along well with many of her fellow Olympians.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love argued with her because Athena didn't believe in true love the way Aphrodite did. Ares, her elder half brother, and her other half, the god of brutal, violet war, argued with her because they were simply the two different sides of the same coin, destined to argue immensely. Poseidon, god of the sea....well they were rivals. They weren't supposed to get along. And that's just naming the gods she argued with the most.

She was the favored daughter of Zeus. The only child of Métis. The only virgin goddess to still have children (they were born from a thought, and she liked it that way). She was her father's lead strategist. Her children (especially her favored daughter, Annabeth Chase) had the same role in Camp Half-Blood.

Athena was a very important goddess. She was one of the twelve Olympians. Of the twelve, there were only two maiden goddesses, Athena being one of them, her half-sister Artemis being the other.

Artemis was terrifying, even Athena would admit. Her maidenhood vow gave her thousands of followers and was never really questioned-not when she and her twin brother Apollo (or Apollon, to the ancient Greeks) was around to protect it.

Athena thought she had been in the clear. No, she didn't exactly have a scary brother to protect her maidenhood, but she was scary enough. She'd never had a problem with it.

"Athena, we've just received news that some moronic monsters are trying to ambush Olympus. They're lead by Hyperion." Hermes breathed heavily, panting from his running around telling everyone.

Athena nodded, sent him off to warn the others he had not, and grabbed her armor. She had not used it since the second Titan War, only three years earlier. She'd wished not to use it again for another few centuries, but it seemed the Fates did not agree.

Her spear floated to her hand, and she flashed away, reappearing beside her father in the throne room.

"Athena, I want you fighting in the east wing. We keep many important .... Weapons there that need protecting." Zeus seemed urgent that she hurried.

"Yes, Father." Athena murmured, bowing low, before hurrying to the east wing.

She didn't remember her father keeping weapons there. As the goddess of wisdom, that had been her downfall. She should have noticed what seemed odd about her father. How his electric blue eyes were not quite electric blue. They had been dull, not like Zeus normally looked. And there were not weapons stored in the east wing.

But she'd been to occupied with fighting to have noticed immediately after and she'd been worried before. Hindsight was a dangerous game but it told her what she needed to know.

.............................

The clang of swords, the bash of shields, the sound of monsters screaming as they disintegrated. Ares loved it. It was his favorite part of war.
