Normal disclaimers: I don't own the characters, the video game company that made FNAF does. In other news, there are some warnings for this. There is what I assume to be canon typical violence and gore, in fact I believe it to be a bit toned down, but don't read if you don't like that. And I don't know all the lore of the games nor have I ever played the games. I wrote this for my sister and her friend, both of whom love FNAF. There will likely be inaccuracies because I'm unfamiliar with the characters and the lore of the games. I simply wrote what I was inspired to write based on other fanfics and what little info I have from listening to my sister and her friend talk. If you want accurate information, read another fanfic, cause it won't be here. Sorry. Also this is less of a horror story since I don't really do those, and more of a angsty one since I'm sure you're all aware that I'm really good with angst. This is one of those whump oneshots.
Mike Schmidt some times regretted taking the night guard position at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. He'd regretted it when he'd been fearing for his life each night as the animatronics attempted to stuff him into a spare suit. He'd regretted it when he'd first become friends with the robotic mascots and had been afraid of them.
But he didn't really regret it after that. Once things had calmed down and he was sure of his friendship with the animatronics, he'd found he was rather happy that he'd taken it.
He'd even managed to buy the pizzeria, so he could ensure his friends wouldn't be put out of business and scrapped. Then he'd employed some cooks, waitstaff, and janitors. Plus some mechanics though he did most of the day to day repairs on his robotic friends.
Things were going good for the Fazgang. Perhaps almost too good. In fact, because of how well the restaurant was doing, maybe they should have expected the chaos to occur.
After all, what idiot wouldn't want money? And the added perks of some high selling scrap metal? It was too good of an chance to pass up.

"Mr. Schmidt?" One of the waitresses called softly.
Mike turned to her, smiling. "Hey Isabella. Clocking out?"
The college student nodded with a smile. "Yeah, just wanted to say bye. I'll see you on Monday."
"See you Monday, kid. Have a good rest of your weekend." Mike nodded, turning back to the stage he was repairing as she began to leave.
"Thank you, Mr. Schmidt. You too." Isabella called over her shoulder, waving to her boss then smiling in the direction of the animatronics who were getting off the stage after their little performance for the children.
Freddy Fazbear nodded silently in her direction as she made her way over to her friends and coworkers who were getting their things ready to leave.
Chica the chicken had walked into the kitchen to help the older staff members start the clean up process as there were less families in the restaurant this close to closing time. Bonnie the bunny had found the arcade once more to play with some of the teens and children on the video games, always one for a competition.
Foxy the pirate captain was entertaining the few young children left in the place with his stories of the high seas. That left Freddy to approach Mike.
Bella watched as she waited on one of her close friends to finish getting ready to leave. The old bear seemed incredibly fond of her boss, spending as much of his time as he could with Mike when not on stage or with kids.
