A/N: Just a small warning, one of the characters in this is a bit of a a-hole. They grab at and verbally abuse, and at some points hit, one of the other characters. Nothing major, but wanted to let you all know, just in case. Don't read if it triggers you. As always, no Thundercest. This takes place in early season 4, after Max and Phoebe start getting along better. I don't own the characters, Nickelodeon does. I only own the plot.
Phoebe Thunderman had been revealed as Thunder Girl, then given her secret back. She was a finalist for the open spot on the Z Force with her twin brother Max. She lived in a family a super heroes. She had telekinesis, freeze breath and heat breath, which was shared with her twin. She'd had a boyfriend, named Link, with the power to stretch himself.
And now, she was at normal high school, chatting with her best friend, Cherry, Max and Cherry's boyfriend/Max's normal best friend, Oyster.
Yes, she was living a normal life. Yes, she was a super hero under cover with her twin. And she wouldn't trade it for the world.
They were walking to their lockers to put away their stuff so they could enjoy their free period. Max would be off with his girlfriend, Allison, for a small date. Cherry and Oyster would be out getting a small coffee since they had stayed up all night chatting with each other, and needed something to get them through the rest of the day. And Phoebe would be going to the school library to study for a test she had later that week.
While it may not have seemed fun, compared to her friends' plans, Phoebe was tired from saving the day, and needed a quiet free period to study. Max had promised to come by to the library to help her finish studying when he returned from his little date.
So the friends parted ways, and Phoebe made her way over to the library, carrying her books. She took a seat at one of the tables and began to study.
Twenty minutes passed when Phoebe suddenly saw a shadow lurking over her book.
"Max, your back early." She said, not looking up.
"I'm not Max." A familiar voice replied.
The heroine looked up, and recognized Cole Campbell, her ex-boyfriend from her freshman year, standing with some of his friends.
"Oh! Hi, Cole. It's been a while." Phoebe greeted.
"Yeah, it has. It's nice to see you again." The blonde said.
Phoebe didn't miss how his eyes scanned her up and down, lingering on her chest, before returning to her face. Nor did she miss how his eyes contained a hungry look. But Phoebe tried to ignore it. Cole had been very nice when they had dated. She didn't think he would disrespect her, no matter how bratty his family was.
"What are you up to?" Cole asked, calmly.
"I'm just studying. Max will be coming later to help me." Phoebe explained, unsure of why he suddenly had an interest.
"That's nice." Cole replied, taking a seat beside her. He slung an arm around her waist, as if they were still dating, and pulled her close, a sharp cologne smell burning through her and making her unusually nervous. "But don't be so boring, Thunder Girl. Just because you're normal now, doesn't mean you have to act it."
"Huh?" She breathed heavily, unsure of what was happening.
"You were a super hero. And you should be with someone who can help you elevate your status. I'm that someone. You are above the others, like me. We can act like it." Cole's voice suddenly dropped to a husky, low tone that made Phoebe shudder.
"Cole-"
A sharp slap to her cheek made her freeze.
"I'm not asking. I'm telling. You are my girlfriend again. Understood?"
