Chapter 31: Six Feet Under the Stars <3

 <Duncan's POV>

I received one special gift this Christmas, it’s from Min. Natuwa nga ako na may regalo siya sa akin eh hindi naman ako ang nabunot niya sa aming magkakaibigan, si Mason actually napili niya. Okay na sana eh, tuwang-tuwa na nga ako, pero biglang lahat pala kami may regalo!

Pero I love her gift, she gave me a perfume. I don’t know how she found out what perfume I use, pero may nilagay siyang note kasama ng regalo niya. Ui, Duncan, ito oh, para lalong mamatay ang mga babae sa’yo. Ambango mo kasi MINSAN eh. ;) That’s what she wrote, I don’t know kung nanglalait siya pero masaya akong may regalo akong natangap galing sa kanya.

Siyempre niregaluhan ko rin siya, pero not as Duncan, but as Draco. Hindi ko pa kasi alam how I would tell her, and parang di niya makuha yung mga hint na nilalagay ko sa daily messages ko sa kanya as Draco. Slow din kasi yun eh.

I gave her a book and a bookmark that I made myself in shape of a rose, because I know she loves to read. Pero she thinks ‘Draco’ gave it and not me. Recently din she has stopped talking about his secret admirer, and that worries me. Big time!

“Duncan, can we talk.” Someone interrupted my thoughts, tumingin-tingin ako sa mga tao sa canteen kung may pumapansin sa amin, wala naman. “Like, right now.” It’s Mia. Pareho silang magpinsan na demanding at walang patience.

“What about?” I have a guess Min already told her that I told Min na naging kami.

“Min.” she said plainly, then she sat beside me. I looked at my cake sa table, I noticed I haven’t touched it yet, malapit na rin mag-time. “She told me that you told her you’re my ex.” She paused and took my cake, and she started eating it. Magkasing ugali nga sila ni Min. “Anyway, why did you tell her, I thought you like her?” how did she know? I haven’t told anyone.

I just looked at her like I’m questioning every single word she said, “It’s obvious, c’mon. Ganyan ka rin nun sa akin, kunwaring masungit… Pero actually took care of her nung nasa Drama Club pa siya, you let her in your group, and I can see you care for her.” Tapos na niyang kainin yung cake ko, and now she reached for my coke. Tsk. “So, how will you tell her now that you like her when she knows I’m your ex?” That’s actually a really good question, I actually haven’t thought of that.

“Well…” I mumbled for words, “I—” wow! Lost for words.

“Well, good luck with that, but I’m telling you, she might not be so nice when she finds out, you know her attitude, stubborn and sort of you know… war freak. So, anyway, thanks for the cake.” Then she just left. The hell, I didn’t even offer her the cake!

Mia’s right, how can I tell Min now?

After classes, dumiretso ako sa soccer field, kahit wala na kaming masyadong ginagawa kasi tapos na ang season, and we won pumupunta pa rin ako dun para magpagaan ng loob. I shoot balls sa goal to relieve stress at para makapag-isip-isip sa mga sinabi sa akin ni Mia kaninang lunch break.

Nung medyo madilim-dilim na I decided to take a shower para makauwi na rin. Pagkatapos kong magihis, lumabas na rin ako. Napatingin ako sa soccer field and there’s this girl running around the field.

“Miss, excuse me.” Tawag ko sa kanya, “off limits ang soccer field kapag hindi member ng team.” Totoo naman, unless they get a permission sa athletics committee.

Tumakbo siya towards me and her face became clearer, hindi ko kasi mamukhaan kanina sa malayo. “Min, ikaw pala. Anong ginagawa mo dito?” I looked at her, “And what are you wearing?”
