“Please keep still.”
“Thank you po.” Sabay pa si Ate Mia at Duncan, kaya nagtinginan sila.
“Hello!” I waved my bandaged hands. Para akong mummy.
“Sorry, can you walk?” tanong naman ni Duncan.
Pagkalabas namin ng school clinic, “You say you’re fine, pero you’re not.” Mukhang medyo galit si Ate Mia. “Ano na lang sasabihin ko kila Tita? Hindi ka nga nababalian ng buto sa Tae Kwon Do tapos isang laro mo lang ng jumping rope nagkaganito ka na.” well, that just concurs my hula na galit nga siya.
“Sorry At—”
Duncan cut me off. “It’s obviously not her fault, you don’t have to be mad at her. Tumingin ako from Duncan to Ate. Tama ba ‘tong nangyayari?
“I know it’s not her fault, all I’m saying is she is my responsibility, and because of what happened I need to explain it to her mom!” naku, oo nga, malamang tatanungin siya ni mama nito.
“You don’t have to, because she will explain it to her mom herself,” tinignan nila akong dalawa. “Right?” Duncan asked me.
Sorry po for making you worry.” I hate making people worry, feeling ko ang laki ng kasalanan ko.
Tinignan ng masama ni Ate si Duncan, then she looked at me calmly, “I know, I’m sorry din that I got mad, I was just really worried, buti hindi ganun kalala, what if you sprained an ankle? May laro ka pa sa pasukan, these things have long effect sa player kahit sabihin nating nakarecover ka na by then.”
