Chapter 32: Thank You and Goodbye

Bailey's POV
Today is the last day of term 3! Isn't it great? You get a few weeks break with no responsibilities! No homework! No drama! But then you go back to school. We're starting the day with an assembly. I'm going to be speaking, alongside others. Such as the student council (Mishka, atlas, Akira, Arthur), blueberry, Cindy, cloud and coco will also be speaking. At the end of the term, the school gets 4 students to tell and do a little recount of the term. I did that last term. I talked about the camp mainly though. We all ate pretty fast.  Speakers have to get there earlier. So once we had finished breakfast and when we were ready, our owners drove us there. When we got there, basically all the speakers were there as well. Coco went off to chat to Akira. Cindy went to chat to Mishka, Arthur and Blueberry and I went to chat to Atlas. "Zane's going on about how he's got a girlfriend or something." Atlas told me. Zane? Girlfriend? Yeah not possible. Plus who would even- ohhhhhh. Cloud. That's the only possibility. I could practically just ask Cloud right now, but I don't know her extremely well. But you know who does? Emerald, Lacy, Nala and Skye. Cloud's best friends. Wait she was apart of that Let's Blow This Popsicle Stand thing, because her name was in the PSN about it and Stewart told me. Arthur! Arthur's here and he knows her well enough! I paused my conversation with Atlas and went to Arthur. "Arthur! Can you ask Cloud about Zane?" I said, pretty much interrupting whatever he was talking about. "Oh oh! I can do it for you!" Blueberry offered. "It's okay Blueberry, I just need Arthur." I dragged Arthur away from his friends. "What?" "Go ask Cloud about Zane. Or do you have any info?" I asked him, basically interrogating him. "Okay all I know is cloud likes Zane and Zane likes Cloud. Okay there bye bye." Not helpful! Anyway forget about that, he'll tell me when he gets here, maybe. Once everyone has gotten to school, I looked top and bottom for Zane. Paisley! Aha! This shall help my investigation! "Paisley! Where's Zane?" I asked her the moment I saw her. "Umm I think he went to talk to Cloud." She told me. "Thanks!" I said zooming off. I found Zane walking away from Cloud and her locker. I ran up to him. "Atlas told me you have a girlfriend!" "Woah calm down! Cloud told me we should hang out some time on the holidays, but I think we're dating but I can't tell." Zane can be absolutely clueless sometimes. I'm just going to say... they're together and that's that. Woah another couple! Coco told me about Akira and Arthur which means... is it Valentine's Day already? No! Bailey think straight! I'm going crazy after this dance.

Paisley's POV
Ever since Zane told me about cloud I've been happy for them. Ever since Akira told me about Arthur, I've been happy for them. I haven't really talked to Atlas after the dance though, I just haven't really seen him. I was sitting next to Akira and Coco. Everyone was sitting with their friends. VPF then commenced the assembly. "Good morning students of DSP. I would like to call the last assembly of term 3 to order. This term has been eventful and great. I will now invite your school captain, Bailey, to say a few words." Bailey went up to the speaker. "Good morning fellow students of DSP, I have had a great term 3 and I believe that you all have had as well, from fun house activities to meeting new students to a great dance, our Term 3 has come to an end. I would like to invite the student council to speak." Mishka, Atlas, Akira and Arthur went up to speak. "Good morning. I'm Mishka. You may know me around the school or seen me speak here. I am student council of A1 and i wanted to say how fantastic were you all at the dance, with those dance moves! I would also like to give a shoutout to our fantastic host James and our cool DJ, Zane." Mishka stepped down. Atlas came up. "I'm atlas, student council of B2, I'd also like to give a shoutout to Thor and Chef Diego for helping make all the delicious food and a shoutout to our two guards, Elton and Aina who did an excellent job of well.. guarding." Akira then stepped up. "I'm Akira, student council of C3 and I would like to also give a shoutout to those who volunteered getting the chairs ready for the dance." They then all went back to sit down. I gave Akira a paw five. "I would now like to invite Blueberry of Beethoven,  of Cindy of Cook, Cloud of Freeman and Coco of Cook to do a mini recount of their term 3." The four of them walked up to the microphone. "Hello, I'm Blueberry. A student of DSP who came this term. I've had a great first term. For most of you this would be your third, but it's my first. I felt everyone was welcoming and nice, I had fun at the dance and many other classes and with my friends. Thank you." Cindy went up to the microphone. "Hello, I'm Cindy and well I've been at DSP for as long as most of you have. Each and every term has filled my heart with joy, this one was no different, exclude drama and it was amazing. From friends to fun to dancing to finally speaking in assembly. It's been amazing." I didn't quite listen through them all. I was mainly wondering when I might be able to do a mini recount as well one day. One day at a time. I always tell myself. I don't know if that's a quote from someone but if it isn't , make sure you use this at least once in your lifetime:

What? I've always wanted my own quote! Vice Principal Frankie came back to the speaker. "Now everyone, I would now like to announce the Term 3 2023 Student of The Term, please drum roll for...." Everyone was patting the floor hard. Ooooh I wonder who it's going to be! "House Captain of Cook, please welcome Paisley up to the stage!" VPF announced. I think I'm paralyzed by shock, but only just for a second. I got up and went to the stage. VPF gave me a certificate and a badge and a mini trophy formed into the shape of a Siamese cat aka VPF. I was dumbfounded, honestly. I shook VPF and Bailey's paws. "Any words for our students?" He asked me. "Well um... I have a quote if that works. I tell myself everyday, One day at a time said by Paisley aka myself." Everyone then started clapping. I spotted Emerald rolling her eyes and doing the sarcastic clap. Hm strange. She must not like me, I haven't really talked to her. I only know she's a gossip girl and her name. I guess you could say.. I don't really know her all that well. Assembly was shortly concluded.

Coco's POV
Wowza! What a day. Or should I say, What a Term. Drama, a cat called Blueberry who hates me because of Bailey, a full blown dance, a pencil throwing fight, 2 couples. Was that more eventful from last term? Maybe maybe not. I honestly can't tell! All I know is.. it was great. Some interesting characters on the way but, hey, what can I say? It's life. Everyone is bummed term 3 is ending. Not because of classes. Because of friends. Not everyone's neighbors like Artemis, Arthur and Blueberry. But I'm not too upset over not seeing my friends, because I'm having a sleepover with Akira and Paisley and Akira's house! Wooohoo! Anyways, I guess this concludes this chapter in my life. Can't wait for what the next one holds.

This may be the ending of this book, but really it's only the beginning of a new story.
