Pet School: The Dance

Chapter 2: Back In Action

Cindy's POV
Yes! I'm so excited!! I just woke up good and ready. On the holidays, Bailey, Coco and I got new supplies and school bags because Vice Principal Frankie recommended it.

I got a cool blue bag, a lot of pencil cases and A SUPER SIZE DRINK BOTTLE. I wish they had a red type of it. There was only Purple and Aqua. I got the same brand as coco's bag. At DSP, they were working on another level and there will be more classes! I'm so excited! They will also doing some other inclosure next to the school building. Wonder what it is. We got in the car and our owner started driving. We don't live far from the school. We drove in and I saw lots of animals and pets going in. Stewart was waving at us. Or was it just Bailey? Not sure. Our car parked there and we got out of the car. Bailey ran up to Stewart immediately. "What up?" "Not much. Assembly is starting in 10 minutes." They're so weird! They ran up the steps. On the holidays, I went to Artemis's house with Arthur and Mishka! It was really fun! Artemis, Arthur, Atlas and this other cat, Blueberry are neighbors. Apparently Blueberry is coming to this school! I've already made friends with her! She's really nice. She also likes Arthur. Although Arthur did tell me on the way back home that her liked Akira. I didn't want to break her heart so I didn't tell her. Only Artemis, Mishka, Akira, Coco and Paisley don't know about his crush. Oh and Blueberry. We all rushed into celebrity. "Umm excuse me Cindy?" "Yes, Thor?" "I forgot where my locker was, do you know or remember?" "I think it was in between Stewart and Zane's." "Oh thanks!" Thor and I are becoming friends. Although he can't tell Chief or Aina, Amber and Glitter. Thor's actually really nice if you get to know him. But Zane's really annoying though. Zane's always shipping Thor and I. He calls it, Thordy. But he can't understand that Thor and I are just friends. He's still a bit mean though. I believe in giving dogs and cats second chances because just like Thor, they could have a soft side.

Assembly time! I'm really excited for the announcements! Everyone gathered in the hall. Mishka saved me a spot. Next to Blueberry! Yes! I sat in between Mishka and Blueberry. "Hi Blueberry!" "Hi Cindy!" Vice Principal Frankie came on the speaker. "Hello everyone! As you all know, 2 of you have already been given the award, Best Pet Of The Term. Term 1 was James and Term 2 was Aina. Can't wait to see who this term it will be." I still can't believe Aina got Best Pet Of The Term award last term. So not fair. Aina does not deserve it. "Today in our assembly, the school captain and class councils will be coming up and doing announcements. First, we have to tell you that we have finished the second level and there will be new classes." Everyone cheered. Akira put her paw up. "Yes Akira?" "What language are we learning in the new class?" "French. French being done by Miss Koda." Miss Koda? Must be a new teacher. "Aww I was hoping we'd learn Spanish." Some random cat said. "And we have built a mini inclosure for Guinea pigs!" "I'M SCARED OF GUINEA PIGS AHHHHHH!" Some dog said screaming and ran out of the room. "Huxley can you go get him?" He asked Mr Huxley. Mr Huxley nodded and got up. He brought the dog back in. "Now, the Guinea pigs won't be coming in with all you fellow dogs and cats for obvious reasons considering, some may want to eat the Guinea pigs or chase them or are merely scared of them. Also they are too small to be with you all, especially in the playground. And I have news you all won't like. Detention will be added. So if any teacher thinks you should go to detention then well you got to detention or if something bad happens that someone did, detention. If any Guinea pigs come in this playground or you go in theirs then detention."

"Detention? Seriously? This school is so lame!" Some cat said. "Anyway. I will begin to invite some of the class captains  up to the platform. Home room A1, Mishka. Home room B2, Atlas. Home room C3, Akira and Home room D4, Arthur. Mishka, Atlas, Akira and Arthur came up to the platform. "This term, we will be having a dance!" Everyone cheered. ll"May your class captains speak." Mishka came up to the microphone. "Hello everyone! I'm Mishka. Atlas, Akira, Arthur iand I will be organizing the dance. We will be looking for a DJ, a host and a sous chef to help Chef Diego in the kitchen." Atlas then started to talk into the microphone. "This dance is an opportunity to celebrate and just have a fun time. We'd really appreciate you coming, you don't have to bring a date or go with the dance with someone and you don't have to dance with someone in the slow dance. Because the dance is about having fun." Akira then came up. "There will be tons of fun dancing. Freestyle, Slow dance, conga, group dance, pin the tail on the donkey and so much more fun games." Arthur was the final one to speak. "Akira also forgot about the limbo. But all different foods will be there, juices and punch, pastries, cakes and so much more. Also a chill section if you don't want to dance much or want a break. Can't wait to see you there." All the class captains got off the platform. "I now invite School Captain,  Bailey onto the platform." Bailey went up.

"I want to say that DSP will now be putting in a house system of 5 houses. Freeman (after Dorothea Freeman, our principal) color will be Blue. Beethoven (after the famous composer) color will be White. Cook (after James Cook, a English explorer.) color will be yellow. Darwin (after Charles Darwin, an English naturalist) color will be Green. Einstein  (after Albert Einstein, a really smart person) color will be orange."

"House Captains have already been selected. Please come up if your name is called. Lacy for Freeman." Cloud, Emerald and  Nala clapped and cheered. Lacy was awarded a Blue badge that said, 'House Captain of Freeman'. "Leo for Beethoven." Cosmo and James cheered and clapped for him. Leo was awarded a white badge that said, 'House Captain of Beethoven'. "Paisley for Cook." Akira and Coco cheered. Paisley was awarded a yellow badge. "Akira for Darwin. Coco clapped and cheered. She was awarded a green badge. "Final house Captain, Elton for Einstein." Atlas, Stewart and Zane cheered. Elton's face was filled with pride as he went up to claim his orange badge.

"Give it up for your house captains!" Bailey said finally. Everyone cheered and clapped. Then i heard crying. It was Emerald. Cloud and Nala were comforting her. Everyone started crowding around her asking is she was okay. "I really... wanted a.... house captain." She said threw sniffles and tears. Mr Ajax brought her out of the room to comfort her.

"Now, I bring Chef Diego up to the stage." Chef Diego came up. "Hello everyone. There will be a special menu item each day. Monday is Sushi. Tuesday is Spaghetti Bolognese. Wednesday is Burgers. Thursday is Burritos. Friday is Lasagna."
