i laid down on the bed after a long day of driving.
"hey dahlia." niki smiled.
"hi."
"so what we're you telling me." she asked.
"is it ok if we, uh." i thought for a moment. "date?" i whispered.
"date?" she asked.
"mhm."
"yeah! of course!" she hugged me and i hugged back.
this was nothing how my last relationship was.
*flashback*
"hey dahlia." aiden, the hot popular guy at my school, said.
"uh hi!" i waved.
"your really hot, want to date?"
the question caught me off guard. it was really fast.
"uh sure." i replied.
"ok so your my girlfriend now." i recently started questioning my gender so i really don't know if i was comfortable with being called a girl but, until now no big had asked me to be his. so i have to seize this opportunity.
"uh ok." i smiled and he kissed me.
"that's what people in a relationship do right?"
i guess so.
*another flashback*
he pulled me in for a kiss and i squirmed. "aiden i don't want to."
"what?"
"i said i don't want to right now."
"ugh," he got up.
"i'm sorry." i apologized.
"no, no. it's fine." he said passive aggressively.
"we can kiss." i said reluctantly.
"atta girl." he said and forced himself on me. if it means he'll stay then, i'm ok with it.
then not even five minutes later pushed me away when he wanted to play fortnite.
"can i stay here?" i asked.
"no go to your own room." he waved me off. not even looking at me, just kept his eyes on the tv.
i sighed and walked to my room. i picked up my cigarettes and went to the window and lit one.
i got a call within a few seconds.
"hey dahlia!" it was schlatt.
"oh hey schlatt!"
"can you tune into my twitch stream?"
"your still doing that streaming thing?" i put the cig out on the wall next to the window and threw it out. hitting the roof since we're on the second story.
"i really think this streaming thing is going to work out." he exclaimed.
i laid down on my bed. "well ok if you say so."
"damn bro put some faith in me."
"i will." i laughed and turned on my laptop.
"i'm starting stream so i'll call you back in an hour."
"ah ok! see you soon! i'll tune in to your stream!"
"okay bye dahlia!"
"later skater!" i ended the call.
i opened twitch and saw 'jschlatt'
"today we're going to play minecraft."
i heard yelling coming from aiden's room. i put on my earbuds and continued to watch schlatts stream.
"what are you doing?!" aiden asked.
"i'm watching a minecraft youtuber."
"oh ok come back to my room."
"what? why-"
"cause i fuckin said so." i knew he was mad, and was going to hit me. he grabbed my wrist. "ew why is your wrist fat? you need to eat less."
my head was already hurting from not eating today. but i sighed and i turned off my laptop and followed him into his room.
"hey!" his yell got my attention. "don't give me that attitude. your nothing without me. remember who made you popular and who could easily kill you. remember that you mean nothing to people except me. got that?"
i nodded and held back tears.
*flashback end*
niki held me tight as i slowly lent more into her embrace. i looked up at her and she smiled down at me. "shh it's ok i got you." she laid down with me in her arms and i fell asleep.
nikis pov:
their eyes looked so tired as they looked up at me for reassurance.
"shh it's ok i got you." i whispered.
i took a picture of her laying on my chest and kissed theyre forehead.
there's a knock at the door and tubbo waltzed in.
"oh sorry." his eyes widened and he ran back out.
"it's ok!" i whisper yell.
he shut the door and i held dahlia and scrolled on twitter. i decided to post a picture i had forgotten to when i went to austin in october.
