nikis pov:

we took our starbucks drinks to the car and decided to just drive around listening to music.

"play something from our playlist." dahlia spoke an handed me the aux cord.

"ok!" i decided on the wallows.

'do you remember when we felt like the only two alive?'

she sang and tapped her fingers on the steering wheel.

i saw her eyes get sad. i really don't know how to explain it but she just seemed kinda bummed.

"you still doing ok?" i asked taking their hand in mine.

"yeah just," they paused for a sec. "tired, you know?"

"yeah i understand."

"but driving," we stopped at a red light ans she looked over at me. "it takes my mind off of shit."

she clenched my hand. not very hand but kinda reminded me she was still holding my hand.

"i'll be here if you ever need to talk. and i know that usually people say that when they wanna be nice but i really mean it."

"thanks." she smiled.

after about an hour it was 1 and we went back home.

Dahlias pov:

i sat down on the couch and got a call.

it was from an unsaved number but i somehow knew who it was.

"hello?"

"dahlia hi." the familiar voice spoke.

"what do you want?" i asked, emotionless.

a sniffle from the other end spoke volumes. "rachel is a dick." they cried.

"your just now realizing this?" i asked.

"mhm. i'm so sorry i was blinded and i didn't notice."

"it's fine. why are you calling me now?"

"she only used me to... get what she wanted."

i stood up in shock, maybe too fast cause i got dizzy.

"are you ok? do you need me to pick you up?" i asked.

niki looked up from her phone and looked concerned.

"uh yes please."

i turned to niki. "i need to pick up someone."

"want me to come with you?"

"if you want."

"yeah i'll go."
we head out to their house.
"who is that?"

"it's one of my old friends.
they did some shit to me and now they're paying the price but, i'm not going to let them go through it alone."
