Chapter 18: meeting the parents

I'm meant to be meeting Leah's parents today I've tried to think of every way to get out of it but seeing the look on Leah's face when I said I would go with her made me say yes. I'm absolutely shitting bricks. what if they don't like me? What if they ask about my family? I don't really feel like pouring my heart out to Leah's parents they will think I'm a right weirdo I just hope they don't ask anything.

I'm sitting in Cole's living room waiting for Leah to get here my legs are bouncing up and down my hearts beating out my chest why am I so fucking nervous.

I hear a knock at the door she's here I take a deep breath trying to hide my nerves.I make my way to the door and open it.

Hey beautiful I missed you I say pulling Leah into a hug and placing a kiss on her cheek.

I missed you to Lex she says returning the hug.

We make are way to Leah's car this is going to be the longest hour of my life I can't sit still for longer than 5 minutes let alone an hour and not to mention the fact that my minds going fucking wild. I feel like I'm about to explode I'm that nervous.

Are u ok babe Leah says placing her hand on my thigh to stop it from bouncing up and down but it doesn't work.

Ye ye just don't like long car journeys technically I wasn't lying but it wasn't the only reason.

she says with a raised eyebrow.

Just nervous that's all I say giving her a smile.

There is nothing to be nervous about Lex they will love you mom asks about you all the time basically begging to meet you they will love you because I love you Leah says taking my hand and giving it a kiss before putting it back on the steering wheel.

Ye but what if they ask about my family and stuff then what will I do I say.

If you don't want to tell them then that's up to you but Lex you have nothing to worry about Leah says.

After a long hour of me overthinking and stressing we finally make it to Leah's parents house it's a small house almost identical to all of the other ones on the street still nice tho.

Right this is it Leah says pulling into the drive way she takes my hand and we walk up to the front door before knocking she gives my hand a squeeze and gives me a comforting smile. She knocks it takes a minute for her mom to answer I felt like that was the longest minute of my life.

Leah your here she says pulling Leah into a hug I just stand there awkwardly not really knowing what to do and you must be Lexi I have heard a lot about you it's great to finally meet the girl Leah doesn't shut up about she says pulling me into a hug.

Nice to meet you to miss Williamson I say returning the hug.

Please call me amanda sweetheart she says giving me a smile before letting us in we all take a seat on the sofa in the living room.

So mom where's dad at Leah says talking a seat on the sofa and pulling me on to her lap.

Fuck knows that man's always disappearing he will be around here somewhere amanda says.

We spend a while just chatting about random things i don't know why i was so nervous amanda seems nice I'm glad Leah has a mom like her one that cares about her. A while later Leah's dad makes an appearance he's a tall man with brown hair he makes his way over to me first.

David he says putting his hand out for me to shake which I accept he has a firm shake on him he doesn't let go tho and his grip around my hand tightens.
