It's complicated

Chapter 28: the house

The next few days consisted of non stop partying everyone wanting to hold on to that win just a bit longer. Amanda threw a surprise party for us the day we came back it was amazing everyone was there and it didn't just feel like they were celebrating Leah's victory it felt like it was mine as well.

"When are u gonna wake Leah up" Cole asks me with a smirk on his face knowing the minute i wake her up I'm going to be met with an extremely mad Leah. Let's just say she drank and drank last night and got black out drunk it was now 2 in the afternoon and she still wasn't awake. "Not a chance mate she's scary when she's hungover let her rot in peace"  I say adamant that I am not going to be the one to disturb her. "Well one of us has to do it" Cole says. "Rock paper scissors you for it" I say adjusting my position on the sofa so I'm siting up right I can't lose this. "You're on" Cole says adjusting his position to. "Right Rock paper scissors shoot" we both say at the same time. I went with rock. "Fuck sake" I shout he beat me who the fuck decides to pick paper everyone knows you either pick scissors or rock paper is irrelevant. "Haaa off you pop mate go wake her up" Cole says laughing and doing a victory dance around his living room. "Ye ye whatever fuck you" I say making my way out of the room and up the stairs.

I get to the bedroom door and swing it open she looked so peaceful and happy. I know the minute I wake her up she will be quite the opposite tho. "Leah" I say gently shaking her which earned me a groan from her and she turns to face the other way with her eyes still closed. "Come on you need to get up it's the afternoon" I say gently shaking her again. "Stop shouting my head hurts" she yells hiding her face under the duvet and groaning. I laugh at her comment I was whispering and she thinks I'm shouting. "I'm not shouting babe come on you really need to get up" I say again. "If I get up will you show me the house" she says removing her face from under the duvet with a smirk. "Yes i will show you the house it you get up" I say knowing thats the only thing that will get her out of this bed. I don't think i have ever seen Leah move so fast in my life as soon as i said that she ran to wardrobe picking out the first things she sees and throwing it on not caring what is was.

The house has been a running conversation between me and Leah the past few days. I had been decorating it and ordering furniture getting every room in the house exactly how i wanted it. It had to be perfect and that's exactly what it was. All of this with the help of Cole of course i had ordered some things whilst we was still at camp and had them sent to Cole's house which he gladly built for me since i don't have a bloody clue what to do. I wanted the house to be a surprise for Leah i wasn't just decorating it for myself but it was for her to i was decorating it for the future we would have in that house together. I put things she would love in there making sure it was a place she would feel comfortable calling home one day not just my home but our home.

She had been nagging me for ages wanting to see the house but i was adamant she wasn't going to see it until it's done. I nearly gave in tho the constant wining and nagging nearly made me just throw her in the car and take her there to shut her up but I didn't give in. She wasn't to happy that she was the only one who hasn't seen it in person she was nagging her mom her brother and her dad constantly trying to get any information out of them about how it looked what colours i used to paint the walls basically anything she could think of asking she asked. They had been a huge help the last few days painting for hours on end helping me move the furniture into the right place honestly i don't think i could have done it without them i owed them big time. Now that it is all done i suppose there is no harm in putting her out of her misery and showing her i just hope she likes it because if she doesn't like it then fuck knows what I'm going to do.

"Come on when are we leaving" Leah says for the 5th time in the past minute. "Babe for the 20th time we will leave when Cole can be arsed to find his shoes" I say laughing at Leah's impatience. "Cole find your fucking shoes" Leah shouts. "I've got them now so u can stop crying Leah" Cole says walking into the living room and taking a seat on the sofa to put his shoes on. He starts to put them on really slowly tying the laces then undoing them saying that they were either to tight or to loose he was doing it to annoy Leah and my god was it working. "Cole I'm going to strangle you if you undo that fucking shoe lace one more time" Leah says angrily with her foot tapping the floor she was getting more impatience by the minute. Me and Cole both laugh at her impatience. Cole finally decides to put Leah out of her misery and do his laces.

"Are we there yet" Leah asks for the 8th time since we have got in the car I'm beginning to think that's the only thing she knows how to say. "Yes we are here in the middle of the fucking motorway" I say laughing. "Right no need for that I was only asking" she says turning away in a strop. "Sorry babe we are 5 minutes away not that long now" I say placing my hand on her thigh and she turns to gives me a smile.

We finally pull up to the house a smile makes its way onto my face at the sight of it. "Wow it's beautiful" Leah says taking in that surrounds and admiring the house. "Wait until you see the inside of it" I say getting out the car and running round to open the door for Leah I'm beginning to grow impatient myself. I take her hand in mine and we walk up to the front door. When i say i had everything painted i mean everything the door was a nice shade of light grey it looks amazing. I put the key in the door and Leah lets a squeal out which makes me and cole laugh. I open the door we walk in i scan Leah's face looking for any sort of reaction. "Do you like it" I ask my voice full of worry. "Do I like it i love it it's amazing" she says looking around and taking everything in with a smile on her face. A wave of relief rushes through me and the smile that was already on my face gets bigger if that's even possible she likes it thank fuck. This is it my forever home the home i want to spend the rest of my life in.

We walk through each room Leah's face lighting up at everything she sees. I was saving the best thing till last i know she will love the garden. After i had shown her every room it was now time for the garden. "close your eyes" I say as we approach the door to the back garden. She does it without protest which surprises me she would normally go on a rant about how this isn't necessary or how i would just run off and leave her stood there with her hands covering her eyes like an idiot. I guide her out of the door until she's stood on the decking in the garden. "You can open your eyes now" I say unable to wait any longer for her reaction. "Oh my fucking god" she says in shock. I knew she would love it. It's a big garden with lots of space i knew i had to make use of it all and what better than to add a mini football pitch in the garden. There was also a seating area around a fire pit with a huge hot tub to the side of it.

"This is fucking amazing" Leah says in shock before she runs off to go explore she was like a kid in a sweet shop. "Do you think she likes it" I say turning to cole as we both take a seat on the chairs outside. "Look at her she loves it" Cole says pointing at Leah She was messing with a football taking shots at an open net with a huge smile on her face to prove his point. I knew she liked it so i don't know why but I feel a wave of sadness wash over me. "What's the matter" Cole says clearly sensing that something was playing on my mind. "I just feel stupid" I say honestly. "Why do you feel stupid" Cole says confused. "I've done all of this i say pointing at the house. I made sure it was perfect and she would like everything and we don't even live together" I say sadly. "Well why don't you ask her then" cole says with a smirk on his face. "What no she wouldn't want to move in with me" i say repeatedly shaking my head over and over again. "Lexi I know love when i see it and what you and Leah have is more than love. You have to take risks in a relationship do things that scare you but let me tell you something that girl is so in love with you it's sickening and I'm one hundred percent sure that if you ask her to move in with you she will say yes". Cole says turning his chair to face me and putting his arm around my shoulder. "Ok I'll ask her" I say still unsure if this is the right thing to do or not.

God what has happened to me if you would have told me a year ago i would be in love and asking a girl to move in with me i would have laughed in your face. I was so certain that I wouldn't allow myself to fall for anyone no matter what but Leah I don't know she's different the only person i have ever felt safe around and felt like i could trust was Cole but when i met Leah i instantly trusted her and felt safe when she was around I don't know why i just did.
