Chapter 26: staying away

I wake up and I don't feel Leah's presence next to me i start to feel around the bed for her but she's not here. Then it hits me the bet me Chloe and Esma made last night. I regret it already why on earth did i agree to do this.

"What's the matter mate missing a certain someone next to you" Chloe says laughing with a smirk plastered all over her face. "Fuck off" I say getting out of bed and heading into the bathroom to get ready for the long day ahead. I don't think i can do this but losing to Chloe is not something I'm willing to do she will never let me live it down. Maybe I can find a way around this.

Sarina gave us a rest day to recover and get ourselves prepared for the finals. I still can't believe we are in the finals like we could actually win the whole thing. A smile makes its way onto my face just thinking about it.

I quickly get ready and head out I need to get my ankle checked and get the all clear for the finals. It still hurts but nowhere near as much as it did yesterday it's manageable. I walk into the medical room and I'm greeted by Sarah the physio she's lovely we always have good conversation.

"Ahh Lex my favourite player how's that ankle of your's holding up" she says guiding me to take a seat on the bed so she can check it out. "Ye all good not that much pain think it's just a little knock I'll live" I say smiling at her. "I'll be the judge of that".

Sarah spends the next 10 minutes checking my ankle I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt when she was touching it but I just acted like it didn't hurt. "Right I think you have just bruised the bone it should be a little sore but you should be able to play in the finals just make sure you ice it and use crutches for today don't want to risk making it any worse" she says helping me up off the bed and handing me a pair of crutches. "Are crutches really necessary I can walk perfectly fine" I say walking back and forth to prove my point. "Yes Lexi they are necessary and if you don't use them I'll have to tell sarina you won't be able to play in the finals" she says with a raised eyebrow and a slight smirk. "I hate you" I say giving in a taking the crutches out of her hand. "Aw I love you to Lexi" she says laughing. I walk out of the room giving her the finger as I leave well this is going to be a long day walking around on crutches.

I walk back up to my room it took a while with the crutches that i most definitely do not need i swear she has only done that to make me look like a dickhead. "Crutches mate didn't realise you was that injured" Chloe says with a raised eyebrow and a worried look on her face. "Doctor's orders I don't need them but she insisted" I say lying down on my bed and letting out a very dramatic sigh. "Unlucky mate" she says laughing and taking a seat next to me on the bed. We spend a bit of time just chatting about random things. "I have an idea" Chloe says with a smirk now I'm intrigued Chloe's idea either end in someone trying to kill us or well that's it really. "I'm listening" I say sitting up straight on the bed ready to hear this. "So you know that hat Lucy is obsessed with and she won't go anywhere without it" Chloe says with a smirk. "Ye what about it" I say failing to see what's she's getting at. "Let's steal it" she says."She is going to kill us I'm in" I say.

We spend time planning out are attack laughing as we do so. We needed one more person involved in this to make it successful and that's Keira she was more than happy to help us. The plan was to wait till Lucy was in the shower then we launch are attack it's the only time she will take the thing off. We wait for an hour or so to get the text off Keira to tell us Lucy is in the shower we was staring to get impatient that's until my phone pinged I instantly opening my phone to look at it.
