When you made me giggle
Why did you insist on so many pictures
Why did you propose to my favorite song
Why did you laugh the way you did
And tell me I was the only gf you'd ever had
Who made you laugh that way
Why did we just click
Like two pieces that fit together
Why did you tell me I was your
Soulmate in every life?
Why did you memorize my favorite things
Why did you buy me flowers
And that beautiful necklace and earrings
Around Christmas that year
Why did you invite me over every day
And kiss my neck to make me laugh
Why did my happiness enhance yours
If I was really so terrible to you
Why did you tell me
I was everything you wanted
Why did you spend all your time with me
Why did you call me constantly
And tell me you loved me
Why did you draw those stars that day
Why did it hurt you when I hurt me
Why did you care that I had scars
Why did you get so upset
Knowing what had happened to me
Why did you protect me
And defend me to your mom
And to your sisters
If you were talking shit
About me the whole time
Why did you seem so happy?
Why did you tell me I made you happy?
Why did you pretend
That I was your everything?
If it all meant nothing
Why are you still holding on,
