Adeline seated herself on the edge of the bed, taking a large object out of her backpack. A birthday present her mother had given her a few weeks ago. The strangest part was that it was from her father.

The walls were a shade of light pink complimenting the rose gold curtains of her window. Extravagant and expensive at the very least. Fit for a pretty pink princess in other terms.

The dress that the Senator named Aimee had brought her laid a few feet away from her. A light blue dress sewn in with flowers and thick straps. Delicate white gloves looking as if they'd fall off the hangar.

"Party's in two hours!" Cauis shouted, "And I can't find my damn tie!"

"You can borrow this one," Mason replied.

"Great black. I was hoping you had a red one," Cauis huffed.

"You gonna wear a pretty dress, Elsa?" Issac teased the girl.

"Hell no! Wouldn't be caught dead in one of those!"

Adeline immediately tried to block out the voices from outside focusing on the large recording box. Opening one of the containers to find different records and a small piece of tape sticking out. She didn't dare to cry, knowing her father wanted her to have this as a gift.

She'd cried so much when she'd gotten the news of her fathers death. It wasn't hard to hide the tears and her reddened eyes, her expressions had loosened into pain. This should be special enough for her to remember him.

Knowing the reason she'd actually had wanted to go to Starfleet academy so bad......the truth was she didn't want to be in the same house her father had used to live. Just to live everyday where he had walked and talked in could easily break her. Putting all that pressure on herself.

Taking out one of the various tapes, carefully placing it in the socket. The machine whirled to life as it played the first tape.

Alastor Merlin's Log. Stardate 2222.09.16

As you know I am about to make the hardest decision of my life. As Lieutenant serving under Captain Rohan of the U.S.S Kelvin, it is my duty as well as it is my crew mebers duty to seek out new civilizations and boldly go where no man had gone before. But my duty today will either cause an act of war or an outrage in an ancient civilization.

Weeks ago, The S'Keerans had attacked the Skyler's kingdom, going past many boundaries. Hundreds of children, men, and women had died that day. Culture could've been lost if Emperor Caspian hadn't sent his distress signal.

Captain Paris invited me into her office to construct a way of rebuilding their society while Callius thought of ways to defend their city. A project we had been frequently working on, trying to find ends to our solutions. With having help from our friend, Pike.
