The group rushed into the Merlin's fathers old car. The rows of three seats really came in handy this time. Considering their father thought that when they traveled that Issac and Adeline wanted space from each other beefier they got fed up with each other.

Adeline had called driver thought she was definitely under the age limit at fifteen years old. Alejandro called shotgun because he was a year older than Adeline and could direct her more on how to accurately drive. The rest crowded into the back, Issac being squeezed between Callius and Mason, while Cauis got the third row to himself.

Cauis began unpacking a series of cables and metal from his bag. Opening up a few datapads and plug in a few chargers. He sememed like a mad scientist working to build his abomination.

"You press that pedal to-"

"I know!" Adeline cut Alejandro off.

The hot sun drenched them it's steaming rays. The seats were hot from sitting out in the sun for too long. It was leather for old time sakes.

"You still have your communicator?" Callius asked.

"Yeah, and Lyris should have hers in her Jean jacket! At least the extra one!" Issac's voice changed drastically as he took his communicator out, and flipping the lid open, "Lyris? Lyris?"

Lyris lifted her head, groggily pressing it against the metal behind her. The structure seemed to be like a pipe. Her captor was busy fixing up its ship, sending loud sounds bouncing off the walls.

Her vision was still quite blurry, her memory quite blank to how she got here. Vibrating sounds came through the right pocket of her jean jacket. Her hands were tightly banded by cuffs of some sort of strong metal.

Her hands struggled against the cuffs as she tried to reach down into her pocket. The metal scratching up against her skin, painfully. It felt as if her skin would peel off from the steering pain of the rubbing from her cuffs.

The tips of her fingers brushed against the square device inside the fabric. She reached further, holding back a grunt of pain from the cuffs just as the communicator was fully around her fingers.

She let out a small groan that could've passed for an easy sigh as her fingernails traced the outline of the opening of the communicator. The light gripping did nothing against the metal.

She held back a loud scream turning it into a grunt as her wrists scraped absent the metal of her cuffs as her finger flipped open the lid of the communicator. Lifting both hands up, she put the communicator close to her ears.

"Lyris? Lyris? Are you there are you okay?" Issac's voice came through the communicator.

"Issac?" Lyris voice came out in a hoarse whisper. The feeling of a dry throat felt like sand inside her. In desperate need of something to drink and keep her awake.
